ISIS: someone left a comment from a previous asking about isis news - here’s what’s happening at the moment: 8 tracks have been written for our upcoming recording session in november. most likely 6-7 of them will be used for the next album, and the remaining tracks will be used for an EP that will be released some time there after. we are recording with joe barisi at various studios in los angeles with the expectation that the whole thing will be mixed and mastered by mid january or so. if all goes according to plan that means a spring time release, though no specific date has been set yet. the album will be released by ipecac in the US, conspiracy in europe, and daymare in japan. album and song titles will be forthcoming shortly.

Isis have provided an update on various happenings with the band including the recording of their new full-length, a new new live recording, and touring plans. Here is what the band offered up:
Well, so far, so good! We're a little over half way done tracking our new record. It's nice to hear the songs beginning to really come together. Everyone has been doing a great job and we think it's all going to make for one hell of a record. Working with Joe has been a really cool experience. He has a great ear, provides a very comfortable and creative environment, and seems to really understand what we're after. Decibel came by last week to do a studio report that we believe will be out in January 09, as well as an interview with Jeff in Rock Sound that should be out sometime soon. More pictures and videos to come as we have a few interesting things in the works.
[B]Speaking of "in the works," we'll have "Live V" CD available soon. This one will contain "Oceanic Live from ATP." We were hoping to release this as a live DVD, but we didn't feel the video footage was up to our standards. The audio on the other hand is a full multi-track recording of the entire Oceanic album live, mixed by Justin Broadrick. More on that soon![/B]
Only a couple more weeks until we take a break from the studio and head over to the UK for ATP Nightmare Before Christmas Festival hosted by MELVINS and MIKE PATTON. We're even staying an extra day to try and catch as much of the line up that we can. It's pretty killer! We'll also be taking advantage of our time over there by playing some of our own shows. οι isis για μενα ειναι ενα θειο δωρο… το live τους στο αν ηταν καταπληκτικο κ το setlist χορταστικοτατο. Για καποιον που δεν εχει ακουσει καθολου isis οι παραπανω φορουμιτες τα λενε μια χαρα. θεωρω πως οι isis ειναι απο τα καλυτερα σχηματα των καιρων μας με αποκορυφωμα εως τωρα το panopticon. καποιος παραπανω ειπε οτι το celestial ειναι για τους isis οτι το aenima για τους tool. Συμφωνω απολυτα προσθετοντας οτι το panopticon ειναι το αντιστοιχο lateralus. ακομα και οι στιχοι οπου υπαρχουν ειναι εξισου ομορφοι αν και καποιες φορες μυστηριοι τουλαχιστον για μενα. Αμα δεν εχετε ακoυσει isis καντε το ολοι σας θα νιωσετε καπως. για μενα δεν εχει σημασια πιο δισκο θα επιλεξετε σαν πρωτη ακροαση. Εγω την πατησα με το panopticon και μαλλον αυτο θα προτεινα.
ps. Garden Of Light η κομματαρα δεν ακουστηκε live ρε γαμωτο και ητανε κριμα…
Exω μονο το οσεανικ, το οποιο απο την πρωτη ακροαση μου ειχε κανει πολυ εντυπωση. Ειναι αρκετα ιδιαιτερο αλμπουμ. Δυστυχως ομως τα μπρουταλ φωνητικα γενικα με κουραζουν ευκολα…Αν και στην προκειμενη βγαζουν οργη που ταιριαζει στη μουσικη τους νομιζω.

Τα blacklit και in fiction τα εχω δει σε συναυλια του 2005 στο youtube και μου αρεσαν αρκετα τοσο απλα παιξιματα μα αποπνεουν μια ατμοσφαιρα…Αμα ηταν επεξεργαστης τα αλμπουμ τους θα ειχε χαλαρα το σηματακι art inside…

Μεχρι προσφατα δεν ειχα ασχοληθει ιδιαιτερα με ποστιες,μεχρι που πριν απο μερικες βδομαδες ξαναακουσα τα In the Absence of Truth και Panopticon,που ειχα ακουσει παλιοτερα(κανα χρονο πριν δηλαδη) χωρις να ενθουσιαστω.
Εχω φαει τρελο κολλημα.Απιστευτη μουσικη.Τωρα ακουω πρωτη φορα και το Celestial,μου φαινεται καπως διαφορετικο και πιο βαρυ απο τα αλλα 2.Το Oceanic δεν το χω ακουσει ακομα,μπαινει ομως στην playlist μαζι με Celestial για λιωσιμο τις επομενες βδομαδες.
Αγαπημενα τραγουδια απο Absence και Panopticon τα Wrists of Kings,Not in Rivers but in Drops,Backlit,So Did We.
