ελλαδα: [B]Penelope Anastasopoulou is one of the most talented people in Greek show business and a very spontaneous person. She is an actress, but also the lead singer in the ‘Mamacita On Fire’ band.
Penelope’s interests extend beyond the arts though. She visited with fibaeurope.com to talk about another great passion of hers, basketball. [/B]
[B]fibaeurope.com:[/B] What is your most treasured memory of a basketball game?
[B]Penelope Anastasopoulou:[/B] “The first memory that comes to mind is from back in 1987, at the European Championship. I was inside the stadium to attend the last three games of the Hellenic National team. I was just a child and I had gone along with my parents. In the final it was superb, we thoroughly enjoy it. Actually I have a little story to tell. Close to where we were seated there was [B]Drazen Petrovic[/B], who was also watching the game alongside his teammates. I was really thrilled to have him so close to me. [B]At some point I mustered up the courage to ask him for an autograph and he was so kind as to sign on one of my father’s business cards[/B]. Alas… from the moment he signed the game started to go bad for our team. My father got a bit aggravated, but the card was eventually salvaged. A tad tarnished, yes, but nevertheless salvaged and I still have it. It is of great value to me”.
[B]fe.com:[/B] Do you remember any other encounters like that?
PA: “I have been to quite a few games, and finals at that. A game that I also remember fondly was Maroussi vs Panathinaikos for the Greek League at Maroussi. Different game from that of the national team for sure, entirely different sentiment. Similar reactions however, since basketball as a sport itself generates them from within; and sport in general actually. I have friends and acquaintances that compete with different teams. Overall I am a fan of fair-play and usually I find myself support friends and individuals. I am friendly to Panathinaikos but I also have friends on other teams that I support regardless of the uniform they are wearing. And of course I always support the national team. In general I enjoy the atmosphere of a basketball encounter, the vibe and the pulse that comes from the court. It is something that gets you carried away. When you take part in something so massive, with so many people supporting exactly the same thing as you, it takes the edge off things. As long as matters do not get out of hand of course.”
[B]fe.com:[/B] Who is your favourite player from those you’ve seen playing in the national team?
[B]PA:[/B] “There is not only one. Maybe Spanoulis a little bit more. I always admired him because he is court-wise, he’s got the moves on the floor and because I have been watching him since he was playing for Maroussi, he is undeniably one of the players who have impressed me. He will for sure be a loss for the national team as will be all of the other players who are missing of course, like Diamantidis or Perperoglou. But it is also a certainty that whoever does compete will give their all in order to serve the team’s best interest. And we must support those who will finally compete”.
[B]fe.com:[/B] With so many big names missing, what do you think Greece’s chances in Lithuania are?
[B]PA:[/B] “I believe in the Greeks. They have something magical. Somehow, somewhere they make it in a unique way and I love them for that. It is something you cannot predict. So many championships, trophies don’t come from nowhere. Just like the women’s water polo national team this summer. The same back then, in 1987, with the basketball national team with Galis, Fassoulas (two of my favourites), Yannakis. Same story in 2005. So I do believe that the National Team can make it this time around too.”
Δεν βγάζουν κανένα κανονικό παιχνίδι λέω εγώ να λιώσουμε; Τα patch στα nba live δεν λειτουργούν γαμώτο ενώ το 2008 με τις εθνικές ομάδες είναι απλά τραγικό. Το μόνο που έχω καταφέρει είναι ένα καλό patch με τις εθνικές των Ολυμπιακών του Πεκίνου 2008 στο nba live 2005 (ίσως το καλύτερο nba live) που είναι αρκετά καλό αν βάλεις και μερικά fixes που χρειάζεται.
Δυστυχως τα δικαιωματα για FIBA/Euroleague ομαδες τα εχει η EA Sports, της οποίας η προσπάθεια πέρυσι για ένα νέο NBA Live υπό τον τίτλο NBA Elite κατέληξε σε φιάσκο. Βεβαια και που είχε τα δικαιώματα FIBA ομάδων συνήθως τις πέταγε μέσα στο παιχνίδι πρόχειρα, με ότι να’ ναι ratings κτλ. Πλέον έχει μείνει με το NBA Jam που ενδείκνυται μόνο για καβλάντισμα με παρέα.
Ωραία θα ήταν να περνόυσαν τα FIBA/Euroleague δικαιώματα στην 2K Sports, η οποία πέρυσι έβγαλε το απίστευτο NBA 2K11 και φέτος αναμένεται να οργιάσει με το NBA 2K12.
Πάντως, κακά τα ψέματα. Ποιον θα ενδιέφερε μια έκδοση ενός videogame με Euroleague/FIBA ομάδες πέρα από τους Έλληνες και τους Ισπανούς άντε και τους Ρώσους?
Εντάξει δεν θα γίνει παιχνίδι αποκλειστικά για euroleague. Αλλά αν βάλεις μέσα και τις διοργανώσεις των εθνικών ομάδων (π.χ. όλα τα παγκόσμια και τις ολυμπιάδες των τελευταίων 10 χρόνων + αυτή του '92 με την original dream team) το ενδιαφέρον θα ανέβει κατακόρυφα αφού αμέσως αμέσως τα μεγαλύτερα αστέρια του ΝΒΑ μπαίνουν στο παιχνίδι.
