Μπροστά στον Κάρλιν λίγοι, πολύ λίγοι μπορούν να σταθούν… Καταρχάς ο άνθρωπος ήταν γνήσιος. Και η κριτική του ήταν αιχμηρή σαν μαχαίρι, πήγαινε κόντρα σε τόσες και τόσες καθιερωμένες αντιλήψεις. Αναρωτιέμαι αν το κοινό που πήγαινε και τον έβλεπε και ξεκατδιζόταν στα γέλια συνειδητοποιούσε το νόημα και το βάθος που είχαν όσα έλεγε…
Ακόμα να ασχοληθείτε κάποιοι με τον κορυφαίο ίσως stand-up comedian ever? (ή έστω, έναν απο τους καλύτερους). Αν και τώρα που το σκέφτομαι για να διαβάζετε αυτό το θρεντ, αυτή τη στιγμή, μάλλον έχετε ασχοληθεί έστω και λίγο. Έτσι γίνεται συνήθως (τείνουμε να προσπερνάμε εκείνα με τα οποία δεν ασχολούμαστε).
Είναι γεγονός βέβαια πως η έννοια stand-up comedy συχνά προιδεάζει για κάτι χαλαρωτικό και ανάλαφρο, πόσο μη-ανάλαφρες όμως ήταν οι ιδέες που ξετύλιγε ο Κάρλιν πάνω στη σκηνή!
Τεράστιος ο Carlin! Έδωσε στο stand-up comedy μια εντελώς διαφορετική διάσταση. Ναι μεν διασκεδάζεις με την ψυχή σου αλλά μιλάει για σοβαρά πράγματα.
Πχ το βιντεάκι religion is bullshit είναι μακράν το καλύτερο που έχω δει από stand up comedy ever!!!

Τι να πρωτοπεις γι’αυτο.
Απίστευτος ο Carlin. Δεν είχα ασχοληθεί ποτέ με stand- up comedy, αλλά με το που είδα vide- άκι του (αυτό με το saving the planet) έπαθα πλάκα. Πρέπει να το έχω δει τουλάχιστον 6- 7 φορές. Συνέχεια με αυτό με τη θρησκεία, 7 λέξεις, κλπ. κλπ. Απίστευτος τύπος, καυστικό χιούμορ και έχει ικανότητες λες και είναι ηθοποιός, στο πώς λέει πράγματα, τι φάτσες παίρνει κλπ.
