“Just back from our first show in the UK, London. Had a great time tonight and were greeted by a very cool, enthusiastic crowd to say the least. But actually, all the crowds have been great!
But what I’m really writing you about is that before the show (15 min.'s before we went on) the band’s hanging out backstage going over our set list. (We added quite a bit of songs tonight). Anyway, in walks…hello! Get this! Jimmy f*$! Page! He calmly walks up to me and says, “Hello Neal”…like I’ve known him a thousand years or so.
Honestly I have to tell you, I was completely in awe, not quite believing I was standing there talking to Jimmy Page about music and continued to you until we had to go on stage. Wow. What a mind-boggling moment for me. Felt like a little kid. What a true gentleman and obviously a brilliant guitar player. He was nice enough to take a photo with the band and I, (which we will be posting here soon). I gave him our new Revelation package, he thanked me, then I shook his hand and went on stage. Honestly I felt like I had the fear of God watching me and didn’t want to make one mistake and did the absolute very best performance I could.
I was told later, after we got off the stage, he had said to our manager that he enjoyed my playing. As in the words of Flavor Flav-wow! Then, we came off stage and as we were drying off, in walks Chris Squire from Yes. He told all of us that he enjoyed the show too.
Reflecting back; last year at the same venue, Brian May shows up. This year; Jimmy Page and Chris Squire. Maybe next year Jeff B. or Eric C.?”

“For some people the idea seemed strange to send a band like Sieges Even on the road with a living legend like Journey. How could that work out? A band from the progressive-rock-genre as a support act for an AOR-million seller? As a musician you have to cope with any kind of audience ? at least, that’s my credo. And yet, I had some doubts too if this package could work for the audience. On June 10, 2008, we met in Cologne for the first of three shows with strange feelings of uncertainty in our stomachs. The first impression of the whole organization there was impressive: A maximum of professionalism everywhere, a stagecraft we haven’t seen and experienced before. After having played the shortest sound check in our career (we were allowed to play one half of a song), both pressure and uptightness eased: Neal Schon and Deen Castronova came to us, wishing us all the best for the show. And then: Showtime! We had 40 minutes to convince an audience of which at most 1% was familiar with the name Sieges Even.
How would they respond to our stuff? After the first song, ‘When Alpha and Omega Collide’, from our last CD ‘Paramount’, it was pretty obvious that all our fears and doubts were causeless. The crowd was more than friendly and open to us (and keep in mind that they haven’t expected a support band at all!). The sound on stage was fantastic, so we could really enjoy our playing! Songs like ?Unbreakable’, ?The Lonely Views of Condors’, ?Iconic’ or ?The Weight’ were more than well received. This was probably the most important experience for us: People did not care about the genre Sieges Even normally stands for, they simply liked the songs, the music, the fun we had on stage. On the following shows in Karlsruhe and Bamberg the impression we had was reaffirmed. The stunning reactions to our single ?Eyes Wide Open’ gave us the creeps ? and of course: we were pretty sure that this particular piece was simply made for a Journey-audience. Besides that, it was a great honor that Neal Schon and Deen Castronova stood beside the stages in Bamberg and Karlsruhe, watching our whole set. What remains in the end? The great experience of having had the opportunity to play with a great and very friendly band like Journey! Πραγματικά με ενθουσίασε ιδιαίτερα…
Πήρα σήμερα το Greatest Hits DVD 1978-1997. Απίστευτο!!! - Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα σε όποιον δεν το έχει.

__Μπάμπ γιατί “έτσι μας αρέσει”. 
__Βασικά μπήκε πρόσφατα τυχαία το Faithfully στην τυχαία επιλογή (από 160giga) του mp3 και λέω… τί έχω βάλει μέσα, boodleg live; αλλά δε μπορεί ο ήχος είναι στούντιο… αλλά αυτή είναι φωνή, είναι και δεν είναι ο Perry… :-k
__Kαι τότε κατάλαβα ότι είναι ο Pineda στο bonus, 2o cd του Revelation όπου αποτελεί ένα best of studio cover /re-record τραγουδιών των Journey. Δε χρειάζεται να πω ότι στα περισσότερα, αν όχι σε όλα, έχει κάνει εξαιρετική δουλειά ο Pineda… Αυτλα τα τραγούδια όπως είχε γράψει και ο Daz, απλά να τα πεις ΣΩΣΤΑ είναι άθλος, πόσο μάλλον να τα πεις καλά! ΠΟΛΥ απαιτητικά τραγούδια (αχ βρε Steve, είσαι θεός, κρίμα που δεν τόλμησες τελικά πριν 2-3 χρόνια εκείνο το comeback σου). Οποιος δεν έχει τσεκάρει το bonus cd του Revelation, να το πράξει χωρίς φόβο, είναι αξιολογότατο το αποτέλεσμα.
__Στα του δίσκου τώρα (μιας και μετά πήρα φόρα και πιάστηκα απ’ το καλύτερο του δίσκου ίσως, το “What I Needed” & έπειτα από το “What It Takes To Win” που με κόλλησε το μέτρημα στα ντραμς, και μετά το άκουσα όλο πάλι 2+ φορές ολόκληρο), ωραίος δίσκος, με διάσπαρτες ΠΟΛΥ καλές ιδέες και εκτελέσεις, και σε πολλά σημεία ένα άρωμα (αλλά και κλασσικές συνταγές Journey) από τα παλιά.
__Αξιοπρεπής, ευχάριστος για τους φαν και όχι μόνο, και δείχνει πως αν το ζορίσουν λίγο παραπάνω, μπορούν να θυμήσουν ακόμα πιο ένδοξες ημέρες -αν και συμφωνώ κι εγώ με το πολύ καλό review πως είναι ότι καλύτερο έχουν βγάλει εδώ και καιρό. 2-3 τραγούδια μόνο βαριέμαι και τ’ ακούω αν ξεχαστεί και μπει το επόμενο ενώ κάνω κάτι άλλο, όλα τα άλλα μ’ αρέσουν, και 2-3 τα ευχαριστιέμαι και με το παραπάνω.
__Τελικά, ΘΕΤΙΚΟΤΑΤΟ το πρόσημο της προσπάθειας, αλλά, ΦΥΣΙΚΑ θα θέλαμε και το κάτι παραπάνω στο επόμενο, καθώς πιστεύω πως μπορεί να του παρασύρει το μομέντουμ με τον Πινέλα/ντα και να (ΞΑΝΑ)κάνουν την υπέρβαση.
__! ! ! αυτό τον πετυχαίνω κι εγώ κάθε τόσο, ιδίως στο δρόμο προς το μετρό!! Και επειδή συνήθως έχει πολύ λίγο έως καθόλου κόσμο, έτσι όπως διασταυρωνόμαστε, μπαινω στον πειρασμό να του τραγουδήσω κάτι από Steve Perry erra, κάνα “Mother, Father”, “Don’t Stop Believin’” έτσι για του πω “respect” για τα μπλουζάκια του, αλλά… :oops: άσε λέω μη τον τρομάξω τον άνθρωπο, είναι και ψηλές οι νότες στα τραγούδια αυτά, μη του 'ρθει απότομο! :lol:
__Φοβερό που τον έχουμε πετύχει και οι τρεις μας ε; Είναι, “θρύλος”, ΕΧΕΙ ΓΟΥΣΤΟ Ο ΑΝΘΡΩΠΟΣ ΣΤΗΝ ΕΝΔΥΣΗ!
__Με την ευκαιρία, θενκς για την εξαιρετική “κάλυψη” (ΚΑΙ των πολυαγαπημένων Sieges Even -που μπορεί να πει κάποιος πως καλώς είχαν θέση στο άνοιγμα της συναυλίας, ε, και το πρώτο των Journey prog είναι). Καθυστεριμένα λίγο, αλλά θα με συγχωρέσεις γιατί θα σου αφιερώσω το τραγούδι που έβαλε ο υπάλληλος που έλενξε το διαβατήριο του Πινέντα (όταν δεν τον πίστευε ότι είναι αυτός που ήρθε να περάσει από οντισιόν για τους Journey) να του τραγουδήσει για να πειστεί!
__Χαχα, αυτή είναι μουσική παιδεία (εδώ θα του λέγαμε "γαβγησε λιγάκι), να του λέει, “ποιός ο σκοπός του ταξιδιού σας κύριε; …αλήθεια!! ΣΤΟΥΣ JOURNEY!! απίστευτο! τότε θα μπορείς να τραγουδήσεις το Wheel In The Sky, ε!” και να γεμίζει το αεροδρόμειο από τις νότες του…

__A! και να προσθέσω κάτι… οκ, ευτυχώς για όλους μας δεν είναι και σαν εκείνο τον φοβερό “κλώνο” του Perry (όχι τον Augeri, έναν άλλο που ήταν ΙΔΙΟΣ KAI στην εμφάνιση και στη φωνή -αλλά εκείνοι ήταν και tribute band, να είσαι στην ορίτζιναλ και να είσαι κλώνος… ε… έτσι “την πάτησε” και ο Steve Αugeri -μέχρι και τα ονόματά τους ρε πστ μου μοιάζαν τόσο), αλλά σίγουρα είναι πολύ-πολύ κοντά και και χάνει στη σύγκριση με τον Perry… ΑΛΛΑ, μη ξεχνάμε πως πρώτον, εκτός ότι μοιάζουν οι χροιές τους, ο Αρνέλ, από (τα τραγούδια) τον Steve έμαθε και το “πώς” να τραγουδάει σε πολύ μεγάλο βαθμό, και δεύτερον και σημαντικότερον, γι’ αυτούς ακριβώς τους λόγους τον διάλλεξε ο Σον από βίντεο στο Youtube και τελικά έγινε ένα απίστευτο όνειρο πραγματικότα γι’ αυτόν, αλλά και όλοι εμείς ζήσαμε μιά δυναμική και εξαιρετική επαναδραστηριοποίηση τους και συνεχίζουμε να ακούμε σε ΠΟΛΥ καλά επίπεδα τα τραγούδια των Journey…
