ποοο η βινυλιακή έκδοση είναι χύσιμο σκέτο. Τώρα την είδα. Εννοείται ότι το αγοράζουμε μέσα στη χρόνια, γιατί μετά θα κάνει φτερά όπως και τα φολοφεφραφα.

For those who might be interested in the books that our story borrows from, I thought it would be prudent to perhaps mention how these are incorporated into our narrative. I think the most important aspect is the idea of mythology. All classic mythology, including religious mythology which is often touted as ?true? is based on allegorical stories that help to present ideology in a digestible form. The christ myth, which existed long before christ, was a tale that was adapted over and over again to suit various characters in the pre christian world (Osiris, Horus, Adonis, Mithra) ? in the case of Mithra, a religion which was worshiped alongside christianity, and shared an almost identical mythos (Mithra was called the son of God, was born of a virgin, had disciples, was crucified, rose from the dead on the third day, atoned for the sins of mankind, and returned to heaven)
So what gives certain myth shelf life? It is all a case of circumstance, in the case of Christianity, it was adopted by Emperor Constantine, the first roman emperor to convert to Christianity, and played a role in establishing its defining facets, (the decree Nicaea) such as the divinity of Christ ? actively discussing mythology as fact, turned mythology into truth, and in many ways politicising religion by making christianity a state religion (Edict of Thessalonica). Perhaps this is one of many reasons religion has become so intrinsic in society, once it was added to the rulers toolbox, it was a potent way of swaying public opinion, of demonising enemies and justifying decisions that if exposed without the shroud of religious intent, would allow ridicule and perhaps dissent.
But if this is the case, then can ideology that allows for a more altruistic view of the world, a more positive angle that promotes acceptance and love, compassion and empathy become part of our mythology? Can we hijack established myth and perhaps set it on a different path? In the case of the christ myth, this is indeed what happened. We remember and worship Christ, but how many consider Osiris, Thor or Poseidon in the same light?
We have taken some subtle leads from the creation myth in the Torah, aspects of Islamic lore on the fall of Satan, the His Dark Materials trilogy, Paradise Lost by John Milton and the Divine Comedy by Dante. To what end? to help support a new mythology. I would count Philip Pullmans work on the His Dark Materials trilogy, worthy of becoming ?truth mythology? - (and yes I understand the oxymoron in that phrase) ideology based around scientific and social truth wrapped up in allegory, itself borrowing heavily and adapting past mythical works, yet setting new agenda? Can characters from books that inspire curiosity and progression replace the death cults of Abraham? With this in mind, names and character traits have been borrowed and woven into our tale to support this new mythology.
It could be argued that the original intent of monotheism, before being butchered and derailed, was to seek democracy and equality, but the world we live in now is very different, religion no longer serves altruistic purpose when adopted by the state. in many cases we are able to question these ideologies. Like stories and fables, mythology can carry benevolent meaning, and in some way I hope Light bearer can contribute to highlighting the truth behind mythology, and also coax that mythology on to a different path.
Δέχομαι τις αγαθές τους προθέσεις, αλλά, πραγματικά, θα μπορούσαν είναι πιο average στον τρόπο που το παρουσιάζουν? Και πριν βιαστείτε να μου πείτε ότι το βλέπω έτσι λόγω σπουδών, να πω ότι κατά την (ταπεινή) μου γνώμη ΟΛΟΙ έχουν δει Zeitgeist, όλοι ξέρουν κι έχουν -ως ένα βαθμό- διαβάσει R. Dawkins, έχουν δει τα Root of All Evil κλπ κλπ. Οκ, ας τα αναπαράγουμε ΑΛΛΗ μια φορά.
Και, please δλδ, μη μου πείτε ότι το γεγονός πως αναφέρουν την Οικουμενική Σύνοδο στη Νίκαια αυξάνει το cult status τους.

φερτε τους όμως
Μετά από κι άλλες ακροάσεις, ο δίσκος εξακολουθεί να μ’ αρέσει πολύ, απλά συνηδειτοποιώ ότι σε διάφορα σημεία ξεχειλώνουν, και παρατραβάνε κάπως τα κομμάτια τους. Σα να φλυαρούν λιγάκι ρε παιδί μου, που επειδή δεν έχουν και πολλά vocals, φαίνεται κάπως… Δηλαδή πλέον υπάρχουν λίγα σημειάκια που με πιάνω “να βαριέμαι”.
Θα προτιμούσα από τα τρία μεγάλα κομμάτια να έκοβαν 4 λεπτάκια, και να έχωναν άλλο ένα όγδοο 12λεπτο κομματι στο άλμπουμ, για παράδειγμα.
Κατα τ’ άλλα σα συνθέσεις είναι εξαιρετικές, τα’ χουμε πει αυτά, με διάφορες σημειάρες.
Πάρα πολύ καλός φετινός δίσκος, όχι όμως κορυφαίος, κατ’ εμέ.
Θεωρώ πάντως ότι οι επόμενες δουλειές τους θα’ ναι καλύτερες.
Με λίγα λόγια, ωραίος δίσκος αλλά υπάρχει και το inle.

Το 2ο δεν με κουράζει καθόλου, αν και το μεγαλύτερο του δίσκου σε διάρκεια.
μπράβο στέλλα, ηθελα χθες να κανω κι εγω ενα bump!
Ομολογώ πως με τον δίσκο αυτόν, πέρασα και την φάση όπου δε μου άρεσε και πολύ. Αυτό μέχρι να τον ακούσω χθες πρώτη φορά σε βυνίλιο. Ντάξει άλλη αίσθηση γενικά, και ο ήχος σε άλλα επίπεδα. Απλά άραξα στο κρεβάτι και άφησα το πικ απ να παίζει. Η αίσθηση ότι τα τρία μεγάλα κομμάτια του δίσκου τα έχουν παρατραβήξει, παραμένει κανονικα (:() (μιας και καθε φορα, προς το τελος ειδικα, κουραζομαι), αλλα γενικα ειναι ομορφο δισκακι, με καποια φοβερα σημεια. Κι εντέλει συνηδητοποιώ ότι τον έχω ακούσει πολλές φορές…
Αρκετά δυσκολη χρήση της Αγγλικής γλώσσας στους στίχους πάντως. Με πόνεσε το κεφάλι μου να βγάλω νόημα σε κάποιες φάσεις. Μετά βαρέθηκα, τα παράτησα και όπως είπα άραξα.
[B]Το μονο στο οποιο προβληματιζομαι ειναι οτι σκοπεύουν να κανουν αλλα τρια acts (δίσκους), και δε θέλω και τα τρια να είναι στην ίδια ακριβώς φάση:?[/B]
Εμπειρικά και μόνο (βλέπε Fall of Efrafa, από crust με τσέλο σε φάση Remains of the Day και Öroku εν τέλη σε τελείως post metal καταστάσεις) δεν νομίζω να συμβεί αυτό. Μπορεί να βγω και λάθος αλλά πιστεύω/ελπίζω όχι.
μακαρι μακαρι να υπαρξει εξελιξη/αλλαγη γιατί 4 τέτοιοι δίσκοι θα ναι του ματς ομως. (νταξει ενδομυχα ελπιζω, σταδιακα να φτασουμε σ’ εναν τελειως κραστ τελευταιο δισκο:p:p)
λιγο ασχετο αλλα ο alex εφτιαξε επισης προσφατα και αλλη μπαντα…τους momentum. επιρροες λεει απο Modern Life is War, From Ashes Rise, Ghostlimb, NOFX, δεν ξερω τι φαση θα ειναι ακριβως αλλα λεει εχουν ετοιμο ηδη ενα ολοκληρο αλμπουμ που θα κυκλοφορησουν μεσα στους επομενους μηνες…
Crust καταστάσεις με έντονο το επικό στοιχείο. Προς το παρόν έχουν ανεβάσει μόνο ενα τραγούδι στο myspace τους, αρκετά υποσχόμενο.
τωρα τσεκαρα δεν ειχα ιδεα…αλλα βρηκα ενα μονο με ακουστικες που ειναι…εχουν ανεβασει αλλο?
με τρομοκρατει ο συνδιασμος … το μονο σιγουρο ειναι οτι θα παιζει πολυ μελωδια

Ακόμα δεν έχω προλάβει ν’ ακούσω το Lapsus, αλλά άποτι καταλαβαίνω απ’ τα σχόλια θα είναι μούρλια. Στο Μomentum θα φύγει η γη κάτω απ’ τα πόδια μας.
