Hi everybody!
Saxon has never been a lazy band and especially this year we have been extremely busy! After we played several festivals all across Europe and some great gigs together with Judas Priest and the very first Hamburg Metal Days - we have almost finished the new album. The mix is done and the mastering is almost finished. We have guys who are right now putting the last details together and working bits and pieces out for the artwork. Watch out for further news releases like album cover, track list, some more behind the scenes info etc.
Since most of album production work is done, the band can?t keep their feet still and have decided to play a very short Christmas run of 3 dates:

Οι James θα εκπροσωπήσουν την Ελλάδα στην Eurovision
[SPOILER]Σε μια επιλογή που θα προκαλέσει αίσθηση προσανατολίζεται η ΕΡΤ για την εκπροσώπηση της χώρας μας στην Eurovision του 2013 που θα λάβει χώρα στην πόλη Μάλμε της Σουηδίας. Σύμφωνα με αποκλειστικές πληροφορίες του «Κουλουριού» οι ιθύνοντες της δημόσιας τηλεόρασης βρίσκονται «μια ανάσα» από τη συμφωνία με το αγαπημένο συγκρότημα του ελληνικού κοινού, τους Βρετανούς James.
Η πρώτη επαφή μεταξύ του διευθυντή της ΕΡΤ Τζώνη Καλημέρη και του συγκροτήματος από το Μάντσεστερ έγινε τον περασμένο Ιούνιο, όταν οι James είχαν επισκεφτεί την Ελλάδα στα πλαίσια του Eject Festival. Ο τραγουδιστής των James, Tim Booth έδειξε πολύ θετικός στην κρούση που του έγινε και η συμφωνία σχεδόν οριστικοποιήθηκε λίγο καιρό αργότερα, όταν οι δύο πλευρές συναντήθηκαν τυχαία στη Δονούσα, όπου και παραθέριζαν.
Όπως διαρρέεται από το Ραδιομέγαρο της Αγίας Παρασκευής, εξετάζεται σοβαρά το ενδεχόμενο το τραγούδι που θα ερμηνεύσουν οι James να έχει ελληνικό στίχο. Για αυτόν ακριβώς το λόγο οι διαδικασίες ανάθεσης ξεκίνησαν αρκετά νωρίτερα σε σχέση με άλλες χρονιές έτσι ώστε να υπάρξει ο απαραίτητος χρόνος προκειμένου ο Tim Booth να αρχίσει μαθήματα ελληνικών. Τους στίχους και τη μουσική του τραγουδιού θα γράψει η Ναταλία Γερμανού και τις χορογραφίες θα αναλάβει για ακόμη μια χρονιά ο Φωκάς Ευαγγελινός.
Σε αποκλειστικές του δηλώσεις στο «Κουλούρι» ο Tim Booth δήλωσε: «Είμαστε ενθουσιασμένοοι με την προοπτική να εκπροσωπήσουμε την Ελλάδα σε αυτή την τεράστια διοργάνωση. Έχουμε επισκεφτεί τη χώρα σας πάρα πολλές φορές και ο κόσμος μας έχει δείξει τόση αγάπη που την αισθανόμαστε πλέον σαν δεύτερη πατρίδα μας. Είναι τιμή μας αλλά και τεράστια ευθύνη να ακολουθήσουμε τα χνάρια μουσικών κολοσσών όπως ο Πασχάλης, ο Κώστας Μπίγαλης, ο Σαρμπέλ, η Καλομοίρα και φυσικά ο Γιώργος Αλκαίος. Εύχομαι να δικαιώσουμε τις προσδοκίες των Ελλήνων και να φέρουμε την διάκριση που τόσο έχει ανάγκη ο ταλαιπωρημένος λαός.»[/SPOILER]
