Μία σπουδαία συναυλία θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να δουν όσοι θα βρεθούν στις 23 Φεβρουαρίου στην MEN Arena του Μάντσεστερ. Κορυφαία ονόματα της πόλης θα δημιουργήσουν ένα Supergroup για φιλανθρωπικούς λόγους. Στα φωνητικά ο Liam Gallagher και ο Ian Brown.
Ο τραγουδιστής των Oasis και ο πρώην front man των Stone Roses θα συνοδεύονται από τους Freebass για τους οποίος σας έχουμε μιλήσει και στο παρελθόν. Οι μπασίστες, Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Andy Rourke (Smiths) και Mani (Stone Roses/Primal Scream) εδώ και κάποιο διάστημα έχουν δημιουργήσει ένα project και μάλιστα έχουν τα σκαριά το πρώτο τους album. Στα φωνητικά θα είναι ο Tim Burgess των Charlatans και ο Bobby Gillespie των Primal Scream.
Μιλώντας για το επικείμενο event το οποίο θα είναι και η πρώτη εμφάνιση των Freebass, o Andy Rourke δήλωσε, «Πιστεύω πως αυτή η συναυλία θα συζητιέται για πολλά χρόνια».
Να σημειώσουμε πως όλα τα έσοδα θα δοθούν στη μάχη κατά του καρκίνου.

Μετά από τέσσερα χρόνια απουσίας, έτοιμη είναι η νέα δισκογραφική δουλειά του Lenny Kravitz. Θα ονομάζεται Love Revolution και θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 5 Φεβρουαρίου.Αυτός θα είναι το 8o album του 43χρονου Αμερικανού μουσικού ο οποίος δήλωσε σχετικά, «Αγαπώ αυτό το δίσκο και την αίσθηση που βγάζει. Αισθάνομαι λες και είμαι ένα μικρό παιδί που παίζει ελεύθερο στο δωμάτιο του».

LOST HORIZON Continuing Vocalist Search; Begins Recording New Album - Jan. 5, 2008
Swedish metallers LOST HORIZON have issued the following update:
"Almost five years have passed since the release of ‘A Flame To The Ground Beneath’ and after the turbulence the band experienced. The remaining members now realize this period was necessary to regain the energy, strength, motivation and inspiration needed to continue with the unearthly creations.
"Only, this time things will be done a lot different than before.
"While continuing the search for the voice, which will be embraced by our music, the recording of the new material will be carried through independently of that and immediately, with start on January 2008. All instruments will be successively fully recorded and maybe even mixed without vocals on. All skeptical or frightened by this procedure should know/be reminded it was more or less the same case with ‘Awakening The World’ album when Daniel’s [Heiman] vocals was post-mixed after the instrumental mix in Studio Fredman.
"Martin [Furängen, bass], Wojtek [Lisicki, guitar] and Christian [Nyquist, drums], the founders of the band, together with Attila [Publik, synthesizers], who all shared the same vision and goals, are once again the core of LOST HORIZON and so it will remain in the future to avoid the destructible situations of too many wills and visions coming in conflict with each other.
"With this in mind we also have decided not to approach any offers of a record deal with record labels only to be cosmically ripped off, limited or controlled. We will take care of all studio and graphical matters by ourselves.
"Moreover, the material is not going to be recorded all at the same time, but song by song. If the singer problem is solved relatively shortly, then the songs will be available to buy directly after each one is totally processed and ready for the world. All songs will be distributed through the website.
"According to our philosophy we want to establish a direct channel between us and our fans where our music and artwork will be distributed directly from our website, supervised by Valgorth, The Apocalyptic Blaster Of Rats In Cosmic Fury, to avoid any annoying, irrelevant interference by any greedy companies making it impossible to make a living as an artist/musician unless you sell a million copies.

New Double DVD: Live Over Europe

The current line-up of the Axel Rudi Pell Band was able to look back at nine extremely successful years in autumn 2007. May 1998 saw the exceptional American vocalist, Johnny Gioeli, join the group surrounding the guitarist from Wattenscheid, Germany, and world-class drummer Mike Terrana followed in September of that year. Pell, Gioeli, Terrana and the longstanding band members, Volker Krawczak (bass) and Ferdy Doernberg (keyboards), are one of the best and most homogeneous German melodic metal acts and have come up with new albums on a regular basis, followed by extensive tours. The band?s performance at the 2007 Rock Hard Festival at the Gelsenkirchen Amphitheater is considered one of the band?s most outstanding shows and will be released on double DVD under the title Live Over Europe on 25 February 2008 (Germany: 22 February 2008).
The 75-minute concert presents the Axel Rudi Pell Band in a generous mood, performing haunting versions of their most important tracks, among them ?Strong As A Rock?, ?Tear Down The Walls?, ?Mystica?, ?Rock The Nation? and ?Fool Fool?. The release will include an additional bonus DVD featuring select footage from the years 2004 to 2006 from Pell?s private vaults, including the 2005 Wacken Open Air, the same year?s Bang Your Head, the 2004 Sweden Rock Festival and shows in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, and his local club, the Zeche in Bochum.
With a total playing time of over three and a half hours, Live Over Europe is a comprehensive document highlighting the impressive live qualities of a band who have quite a few things up their sleeve for next year. Pell: ?There will be a new studio album in 2008, plus a number of festival shows, and a headliner tour in autumn.? That?s all he?s prepared to give away at this point, so we?ll just have to wait and see

A message from the slowest updating bands around… sorry for that…
As you’ve probably heard, we´re remixing and redoing the vocals on Catch 22 and rereleasing it. Why?! Becouse we still think it is a great fucking album but it got slammed and misunderstood becouse of the vocal style and the drumsound and so on.
Everybody in Hypocrisy is sitting home and writing for the next album right now and we wanna make sure it will be the best release we can do…when it will be out we don’t know… mabye in the beginning of 2009 so have a great new year and see you soon!

SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED Set For ‘Rockstar’ Tour
Billboard.com has now confirmed that SLIPKNOT and DISTURBED will hit the road this summer on the first-ever Rockstar Mayhem tour. The outing, sponsored by Rockstar Energy drink, will run in July and August, with additional artists and dates to be announced.
