Απο Warrior ρε γμτ, μονο το κλασσικο τους (Fighting For the Earth) μου αρεσε. Αν και δεν τα χω πολυπροσεξει τα υπολοιπα, πλην του Ancient Future.
Να σου πω την αλήθεια εμένα μου άρεσε σχετικά και το Ancient Future, ενώ το code of life με τον Rob Rock στα φωνητικά είχε τις στιγμές του. To τελευταίο the wars of gods and men με απογοήτευσε. Τώρα περιμένω από αυτους ένα αξιοπρεπές άλμπουμ, στο κάτω κάτω το τρένο το χάσανε πριν 23 χρόνια.

In the latest issue of Finland’s Soundi magazine, STRATOVARIUS mainman Timo Tolkki reveals that he has formed a new band called REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE, which is believed to have been the working title of the now apparently aborted new STRATOVARIUS album. The group’s debut CD — which will feature guest appearances by Michael Kiske (vocals; HELLOWEEN), Pasi Rantanen (vocals; THUNDERSTONE), Mirka Rantanen (drums; THUNDERSTONE), Pasi Heikkilä (bass; 45 DEGREE WOMAN) and Tobias Sammet (vocals; EDGUY) — is tentatively due this summer via Frontiers Records.
Says Tolkki: “The [REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE album] contains more or less ‘Visions’-style [STRATOVARIUS’ acclaimed 1997 release] power metal. It will come out pretty soon, maybe already in June. Michael Kiske, Pasi Rantanen, Mirka Rantanen, Pasi Heikkilä and Tobias Sammet have recorded their parts. But if there are any live performances, the lineup won’t be the same. I have been thinking of asking Jens [Johansson, STRATOVARIUS keyboardist] and Lauri [Porra, STRATOVARIUS bassist] to join me for this.”
Regarding the band’s name, Timo said, “On the album, there’s one song with this title, and Frontiers suggested it to be the band’s name too. I thought it was good idea.”
When asked if he will perform any STRATOVARIUS songs with REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE, Tolkki replied, “Well, what do you think? Of course. I can play my songs with whomever I want.”

Sad news� A couple of weeks ago Rikard Werm�n [drums] decided to leave the band. He�s been handling all of the band’s correspondence (as well as any other matters concerning the band) the last 15 years and told us that he basically was fed up and didn’t want to do that any longer and therefore decided to leave the band. He’s been doing a really great work and has always managed to squeeze in time to handle the band’s business. He also said numerous times that he will stay and do whatever shows that was booked but wouldn’t handle any correspondence and the likes, and even said if we managed to get a tour later this year, he would stay for that as well in case we hadn’t managed to get a new drummer. Fair enough, and we thank him eternally for that� Now, Johan Axelsson [guitar] said that he didn’t want to do the booked shows and wanted to split the band up ('coz of reasons unknown) which leaves me and Tomas Ahlgren [bass] no other choice then hereby say that we can’t play the [previously announced European festivals plus the Maryland Deathfest in the U.S.]. Therefore DERANGED are from now on split up.

On April 12, 2007, UK gothic metal pioneers PARADISE LOST played a sold-out show at the Koko club in the heart of Camden, London to record a DVD. Fans and media from all over the world came to the beautiful Baroque style venue to celebrate a band that, 20 years since its conception in 1988, is still one of the most exciting bands of their self-defined genre.
Starting with the UK live debut of “The Enemy” from PARADISE LOST’s latest album “In Requiem” (which came out one month later), the setlist includes songs the band hadn’t played live in a long time prior to that night, such as “Eternal” and “Gothic” from their 1991 album “Gothic”, the rare B-side “Sweetness” from their 1994 “Seals The Sense” single and other classics from their impressive album roster. With a tracklist like this it’s easy to win over the audience and be rewarded with enthusiastic feedback, but even the highly critical UK press were convinced by the band’s honest and pure energy.
The live show was filmed and directed by Paul M Green and his Dash Productions team (who previously worked with OPETH, THE DAMNED, GARY NUMAN and many more). Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, AMON AMARTH, SYMPHONY X, etc.) mixed the brilliantly captured live sound at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, and the dark enchanting cover artwork was done again by Greek artist Seth who already worked on the band’s last two album covers.

material for a new record with them. Although some members do have prior commitments hopefully the

Swedish metallers THERION have issued the following update:
"Today we have an announcement that will come as a shock to all of you. The four permanent members of the band have had some discussions and it is clear that we have different goals and visions for the future. Therefore it is best for the band, ourselves as individuals and for the fans that we go separate ways now when there is still plenty of time before the next THERION album and world tour. This means that Christofer [Johnsson, THERION mainman] will continue with THERION and the others will perform their music in other projects and bands.
"We’re all still friends, no one is disappointed and there’s still some work we have left to do together in terms of editing of materials we have recorded for future DVD’s.
“Best regards to all of you and thank you so much for the wonderful support you have given the band during the time we have played together.”
