Οι Film επιστρέφουν με το τρίτο τους άλμπουμ με τίτλο PERSONA. Μετά από αρκετό διάστημα πειραματισμού στο στούντιο σε συνεργασία με τον Χρήστο Λαϊνά στην παραγωγή και δουλεύοντας με την νέα φωνή της Ιφιγένειας Atkinson, οι Film κινήθηκαν σε μια διαφορετική ηχητική κατεύθυνση στην εξέλιξη του ήχου τους. Με έντονες επιρροές από τις συνθέσεις του Βαγγέλη Παπαθανασίου, τον αναλογικό ηλεκτρονικό ήχο, το PERSONA είναι ένα ρυθμικό και ατμοσφαιρικό soundtrack 11 τραγουδιών αινιγματικής κινηματογραφικής αισθητικής.
Στο άλμπουμ συμμετέχουν διαφορετικοί μουσικοί σε ενορχηστρώσεις πνευστών και εγχόρδων, η Evira των Abbie Gale τραγούδησε σε 2 tracks, ο Μανώλης Αγγελάκης (παραγωγός της μπάντας στα 2 προηγούμενα άλμπουμ) με slide κιθάρες.
To άλμπουμ θα κυκλοφορήσει τέλη Μαΐου από την ανεξάρτητη εταιρία INNER EAR ενώ το management έχει αναλάβει η Link4U.
Σύντομα θα ανακοινωθούν ημερομηνίες συναυλιών για την παρουσίαση του PERSONA.

Everyone’s favorite instrumetalists are about to release their first record on Southern Lord, the 3 song LP “Ephemeral”. The good folks at Southern Lord told me that they are pressing it on 1 color for their store, a different color that we will be able to sell in our store (not an exclusive color, but kind of), and most other retailers will have it on black vinyl. They haven’t figured out what color this record will be on, but expect it to be radical.
Converge will feature a guest appearance from Genghis Tron vocalist/keyboardist Mookie Singerman on their new album. The effort is currently being recorded, to be released via Eptitaph and Deathwish Inc.

Metallica - Live DVD’s In The Works
Metallica have issued the following statement:
“There’s been a little chatter here and there about us filming a few shows this summer for potential release on DVD and among the countless internet rumors, these ones are actually true! We thought it would be cool to document a few shows that are unique and sure to be extra memorable for us, and hopefully for you too… first up are the three sold out shows in Mexico City, Mexico at Foro Sol on June 4, 6, 7 and later this summer, we also plan to have the cameras rolling at the sold out show in Nimes, France at Arenes de Nimes, the historic Roman amphitheatre where we’ll be on July 7. For any Metallica friends going to these shows, bring your war faces and don’t be scared of the cameras!”
