Ένα από τα πρώτα και ιστορικότερα industrial / metal / electro σχήματα, οι θρυλικοί Treponem Pal επανασυνδέθηκαν με σκοπό την κυκλοφορία ενός νέου άλμπουμ…
Συγκεκριμένα ο τραγουδιστής Marco Neves και ο sampler Didier Breard ήταν οι ιθύνοντες αυτής της απόφασης. Το line up πέραν από αυτούς συμπληρώνεται με ένα άλλο ιερό τέρας της σκηνής, τον Ted Parsons (Godflesh, Prong). Να σημειωθεί ότι στο νέο άλμπουμ τους δούλευε και ο Paul Raven (Killing Joke, Ministry), ο οποίος δυστυχώς δεν πρόλαβε να την δει ολοκληρωμένη…
Το νέο άλμπουμ ήταν να βγει τέλη 2007 / αρχές 2008, αλλά δεν ξέρω τι μπορεί να αλλάξει σε αυτό λόγω του θανάτου του Paul Raven… Άντε να δούμε!!!

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the release of Markus Grosskopf?s BASSINVADERS album ?Hellbassbeaters? on January 25th 2008 !
Markus Grosskopf is mostly known as the bass player of Germany?s Heavy Metal legend HELLOWEEN, but BASSINVADERS has been a creation of Markus while sitting in a bar and enjoying a few drinks. There it was that he got inspired to an impressive idea: a heavy rock record without any guitars at all. He presented this concept to Frontiers Records in early 2007, who was intrigued with the idea and gave it a go.
And yes, at the end of the day the idea paid off ! ?Hellbassbeaters? contains all basic elements a heavy rock record and so much more. You got the strong vocals, rhythmic bass, intoxicating drums and even bass & twin bass solo parts. What you hear is what you get: 100 % genuine heavy / rock record with absolutely no discordant guitar note on it at all. To guarantee a great variety of different influences Markus invited some well-known singing bass players from the German Metal scene to join the band. And they didn?t need an extra invitation. In DESTRUCTION?s enfant terrible Schmier, SODOM?s frontman Tom Angelripper and RAGE boss Peavy, Markus found some real Bassinvaders-friends.
To push it even further Markus invited a few of his bass heroes to play solos on some of the tracks. When he started searching for support making this album excellent he expected to get a cautious response of 2 or 3 musicians. He ended up organizing more than 13 people for a solo appearance on the album. They named themselves ? like the album title ? the Hellbassbeaters: Billy Sheehan (Steve Vai, ex-Mr. Big, ex-David Lee Roth), Rudy Sarzo (DIO, ex-Ozzy Osbourne, ex-Whitesnake, ex-Quiet Riot), Lee Rocker (Stray Cats), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, ex-Whitesnake, ex-Ted Nugent), DD Verni (Overkill), Wyzard (Mother?s Finest), Dirk Schlächter (Gamma Ray), Joey Vera (Armored Saint, Fates Warning, ex-Anthrax), Stig Pedersen (D.A.D), Nibbs (Saxon), Tobias Exxel (Edguy), Jens Becker (Grave Digger, ex-Running Wild), Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69), Peter Baltes (Accept), Jan S. Eckert (Masterplan) and Michael Müller (Jaded Heart).
Markus has also invited some guest singers for the songs he wrote: Apollo Papathanasio (Firewind, Time Requiem, Evil Masquerade, Majestic) and the frontman of the legendary Danish stadium rock band D.A.D ? Jesper Binzer. While the guest drummers are André Hilgers (Rage, Axxis, Silent Force) and Stefan Arnold (Grave Digger).
This guest list and the killer line-up make the first BASSINVADERS album something very special, but it?s not only about the name dropping. Songs like ?Boiling Blood?, ?We Live?, ?Voices?, ?Razorblade Romance?, ?Armageddon? or the storming BASSINVADERS version of the classic Helloween anthem ?Eagle Fly Free? are proving that Markus? late night idea won?t be just a one-off slap, but the foundation for another ?battlefield? for the always smiling bassist.

Καινουργιο τευχος του Αγγλικου Classic Rock τα σπαει! 30(!!!) σελιδες αφιερωμα στους Ζεπελιν καθως και αποκλειστικη συνεντευξη του Τζιμι. Το εξωφυλλο του ειναι προσομοιωση του αυθεντικου βινυλιου του ΙΙΙ και το εκανε ο ιδιος καλλιτεχνης που εκανε και το σχεδιο του βινυλιου! Λεει, λεει!8)

Ερχεται καθε μηνα νομιζω σε περιπτερα με ξενο τυπο. Πολυ καλο γενικα περιοδικο(για αυτο ειμαι και συνδρομητης) αλλα το συγκεκριμενο τευχος ειναι ολ δε μονεη. Ακριβο ομως ειναι στην Ελλαδα, οπως και ολα τα περιοδικα εισαγωγης βεβαια.
Απεναντι απο τα Metropolis ειναι ενα μαγαζι με βιβλια και περιοδικα που φερνει τετοια!
Τωρα το συγκεκριμενο δεν ξερω αν το εχει!

Ακυρωθηκε η Αμερικανικη περιοδεια του King Diamond…
North American tour cancelled.

Most regretfully we have to announce that King will not be able to tour North America as planned.
King has over the past 6 month been suffering from a herniated disc in the spine, and has still not recovered to a satisfactory level.
He was prescribed absolute rest for several months, and this appear to be more than half a year.
Following several visits to specialists and most recent MRI-scan; we have to realize that his condition need far more rest than expected in the first place. At the moment he can neither walk for more than an hour at a time, nor can he sit like you would do in a normal daily life; ie. there is no chance that he will fully recover in time for the tour start in March.
We deeply regret the inconvenience caused for everyone involved, for promoters, bands and fans; and most of all we’re very very sorry that we can not go out and perform for the fans; who have been waiting for the tour to kick off.
Unfortunately life is unpredictable, and it’s completely out of our hands when illness kick in, and no medicine, how harsh it might have been, can cure the situation. If anything could remedy the situation it would have been done, but for now we simply just have to wait, and let King get the much needed rest.
I will post news about any developments as soon as it’s available.
At this time we will also like to say Thanks, for all the kind words of a speedy recovery we have received.

According to Tangra Mega Rock, Joey DeMaio and Eric Adams of MANOWAR announced at a press conference in Sofia, Bulgaria earlier today (December 1) that they will perform live in Kavarna, Bulgaria “on July 5 or 6, 2008 - right after Euro 2008” (the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship). The concert will be part of the annual Kaliakra Rock Fest. Tickets go on sale on December 20 and will cost 45 euros for the entire three-day event. The first 500 fans who buy tickets will receive a special gift ? MANOWAR’s brand-new DVD “Live in Bulgaria - Kaliakra Rock Fest 2007”.
“Live in Bulgaria - Kaliakra Rock Fest 2007” will be released around December 20 via Joker Media, and will feature MANOWAR’s June 30, 2007 concert in Kavarna. The track listing for the effort is as follows:
