To “The Silent Whales of Lunar Sea” ηχογραφήθηκε στη σκιά των κακών σχέσεων μεταξύ των Skyclad και της, μέχρι εκείνο το σημείο δισκογραφικής τους, Noise. Το συγκρότημα είχε φρικτά παράπονα, όπως αποκάλυψαν αργότερα, από την εταιρεία για την ανεπαρκή προώθηση που τους έκανε. Λόγω της συσσωρευμένης απογοήτευσης αποχώρησαν τότε οι Dave Pugh και Keith Baxter.
Αυτά όμως δεν είναι λόγοι για να μην εκτιμάμε το “Silent Whales…”, ένα δίσκο που κλίνει περισσότερο προς την metal παρά την folk πλευρά των Skyclad, και έχει να προσφέρει ενδιαφέρουσες στιγμές, αν και η παραγωγή του το αδικεί κάπως, ενώ παρατηρείται και κάποια “ανακύκλωση” ιδεών σε σημεία – λογικό με 5 δίσκους σε ισάριθμα χρόνια, η δημιουργική φλέβα κάπου αρχίζει και… στραγγίζει!
Σε κάθε περίπτωση, παραμένει ένα απολαυστικό άκουσμα για όποιον αγαπάει τους Ουρανοντυμένους - χώρια που μετά το “Moongleam…” εδώ οι Skyclad επιλέγουν να αφιερώσουν ένα τραγούδι για να εκφράσουν την αγάπη τους, για τη χώρα μας αυτή τη φορά!

Το ακουγα οταν το εγραφα και μου αρεσε πολυ το God Alone γιαυτο

Μόνο αλήθειες. Απίστευτος δίσκος, απίστευτα συναισθήματα. Αναγκάστηκα να αγοράσω πάλι το cd γιατί είχε χαλάσει από τις επαναλήψεις.
