Με αφορμή τα 21 χρόνια από το θάνατο του Philip Lynott, ηγέτη των θρυλικών Thin Lizzy, το Wizard Rock Club (Κηφισίας 119, Μαρούσι) παρουσιάζει την Πέμπτη 4 Ιανουαρίου 2007 στις 22:30 αφιέρωμα με σπάνιο οπτικοακουστικό υλικό, video από το Δουβλίνο και τα αποκαλυπτήρια του αγάλματος του Lynott, καθώς και live από τους Remember Lizzy, την πρώτη Thin Lizzy tribute band στην Ελλάδα που θα διασκευάσει πολλά αγαπημένα τραγούδια του συγκροτήματος. Την ίδια ημέρα γίνονται συναυλίες στην μνήμη του Philip Lynott στο Δουβλίνο και στο Μάντσεστερ.
Την Πέμπτη θα είμαστε κοντά στα παιδιά (όπως και άλλες φορές άλλωστε), να τιμήσουμε τον ποιητή που δεν υπάρχει πια κοντά μας…και που δεν ξέρουμε σε ποιο σημείο θα είχε εξυψώσει την αγαπημένη μας μουσική αν ζούσε ακομα!!!

According to Belfasttelegraph.co.uk, the first-ever recordings by legendary rocker PHIL LYNOTT have reportedly been rediscovered after almost 40 years. Reports this morning (January 4th) say the recordings were made in Dublin in 1968, when Lynott was just 18. He sings on two tracks and provides harmonies on a third for Brush Shiels’ band SKID ROW, which he later left before going on to found THIN LIZZY. This morning’s reports say the tapes were taken home by a studio sound engineer and have recently been rediscovered by his son. The news come as family, friends and fans prepare to mark the 21st anniversary of Lynott’s death (August 20, 1949 ? January 4, 1986)) at the annual Vibe for Philo event in Dublin.
