Στην περιοδεία των Big-4 τα έσπασε με τους περισσότερους. Ζήτησε περισσότερα λεφτά και να εμφανίζεται πάνω από τους Slayer την τελευταία στιγμή. Τελικά έδωσαν οι Metallica μέρος του δικού τους ποσοστού για να γίνει η περιοδεία και να μη χάσουν οι υπόλοιποι. Από εκεί και μετά δε νομίζω να έχει κανείς διάθεση να ασχοληθεί και να περιοδεύσει μαζί του.
Kerry King:
“The whole Big 4 thing, that was cool. But there was one band that made it harder than it needed to be. And I think you know who that is.”
Benante:
“We thought we were going to do more Big 4 shows, but it didn’t happen. Some people just didn’t want to do it anymore.”
Araya:
"I don’t want to say politics is preventing that,"Araya said. “It’s not the politics between bands; it’s the politics of character in one particular band.”
He continued: "We had an issue that came up on the New York show, which really freaked everybody out, but the New York show happened. I think, in all honesty, that was the last time we did the ‘Big Four.’
Εχει μπλοκάρει την κυκλοφορία από τα επετειακά live στο Fillmore για τα 30 χρόνια των Metallica, ήθελε να μπλοκάρει την αντίστοιχη για το Big-4, μπλόκαρε το box set για το No Life Till Leather. Και τώρα ζητάει να ξαναπεριοδευσουν όλοι μαζί. Δε νομίζω να ξανά ασχοληθούν μαζί του. Οι Slayer πχ κάνουν headline show στην Αγγλία με 35 και 45 χιλιάδες κόσμο. Δε θα μπουν ξανά στη διαδικασία να μαλώνουν αν πρέπει να παίζουν πριν ή μετά το Dave
