εν ολίγοις (για είδος μη τα πούμε, άκουσες :P), έχουν τρεις γαμάτους δίσκους και είναι η κυρίως μπάντα του τραγουδιστή του The Fragile Art of Existence. αναμένουμε νέο δίσκο φέτος. άκου και το By the Night Sky να πάθεις πλάκα.

FOR THE RECORD! To all the people and other “so called” pages that dont know what the real true story is and whats going on with Riot. First off, we are NOT cashing in on the name, Riot has never really made lots of money, not even Mark he lived with his parents til the day he passed AND we all have day jobs! We do it for the love of music and have to take time off to play. Mark was our brother an
d he lived with us and we took care of him up until his untimely passing and we are still deeply saddened by the death of a family member. Mike did ALL the guitar work on the Immortal Soul except 4 rhythm tracks that Mark layed because because of his illness he was too shakey to play correctly and It did frustate him. Don wrote most of the songs like he did on Thundersteel and Privilege of Power and has been with Mark since he co-wrote songs on Restless Breed and Born in America back in the early 80’s. Mark was at the studio and was pleased with how it was coming out and was proud to call it a Riot record. This is NOT the Rock City line up, this is NOT the Fire Down Under line up, IT IS THE THUNDERSTEEL LINE UP, with the original member of that era, we were ALL fans of the early stuff with Guy and Rhett. Mark and his estates wishes were us to go on and most people want us to! We play songs WE wrote or co-wrote and play a few of Marks songs in tribute to him and the early years! There are bands out there playing songs and performing with ONE original guy in the band and some didnt write any of the music, Quiet Riot, Guns n Roses, Great White now Queensryche! and of course Thin Lizzy (well a couple guys, but NOT Phil) but people come out to hear songs they love. Get the REAL or REALE info hear. Mike Flyntz has been taking care of Mr. Reale since Marks death because he is like a son to him now. Have a little compassion and get the real story before you post anything you have NO clue about! Good news afloat! New logo and CD artwork being worked on, new songs sounding great, and Bart got us offered a Fest in Germany and [B]2 dates in Greece in Feb[/B]! Were ready just waiting on Bobby!
Με το όνομα τι γίνεται;
Τα δικαιώματα? Προφανώς θα πέρασαν στα εναπομείναντα μέλη (υποθέτω δηλαδή τη λοιπή τετράδα του “Immortal Soul”) μια και μπορούν να δίνουν συναυλίες ως Riot και δεν έχει γίνει κάποια κίνηση από άλλους μουσικούς, αλλά ούτε και τους γονείς του μακαρίτη του Mark που ως γνωστόν τους γηροκομεί ο Flyntz.
Δηλαδή άμα έρθουν αυτοί οι εναπομείναντες για live, θα έρθουν ως Riot;
Ναι. Άλλωστε και τη σελίδα του facebook αυτοί τη διαχειρίζονται (εκεί είχε ποσταριστεί και η γνωστή ανακοίνωση της μπάντας περί συνέχισης της δραστηριότητάς της μετά το θάνατο του Mark).

Συναισθηματικά, ναι. Ηθικά όμως, αν τη θυμάσαι την ανακοίνωση, έχουν δίκιο. Στην τελική είναι reunion του Thundersteel-Privilege lineup παίζουν κομμάτια που εκείνοι συνέγραψαν και έπαιξαν στους δίσκους (δεν είναι όλα credited στον Mark) και κάποια παλιότερα ως φόρο τιμής στη μπάντα και τον Mark. Θα ήθελα σίγουρα να μπει κάποια αναφορά ως υπότιτλος (σε φάση disciples, tribute κλπ) αλλά δε με καίει τόσο.
Εγώ είμαι κάθετος στο ότι θα έπρεπε το όνομα να είναι διαφορετικό. Όντως, ας ήταν Riot - a tribute to Mark Reale ας πούμε.
Ο Mark ΗΤΑΝ οι Riot, όσα κομμάτια κι αν έγραψαν άλλοι σε μιά ή δύο περιόδους του συγκροτήματος.
Απλά είμαι σίγουρος ότι οι προθέσεις τους δεν είναι τα παραπάνω μηδενικά στους λογαριασμούς τους. Σιγά το εμπορικό όνομα που είναι οι Riot άλλωστε.
ΥΓ Και φυσικά δε θέλω νέο δίσκο. Εκτός κι αν υπάρχει αρχειακό υλικό με κομμάτια που πρόλαβε να αφήσει ο Mark. Αλλά κι εκεί θα είναι κάποια compilation κυκλοφορία.
Δεν έχει να κάνει με τις προθέσεις τους. Έχει να κάνει με την ίδια την Ιστορία.
Οι Riot ήταν ένα από τα λίγα ονόματα που ήταν απολύτως ταυτισμένα με τον ένα και μοναδικό ηγέτη τους.
