Μου κάνει τρομερή εντύπωση πως κανένας δεν έδωσε απάντηση Slayer ή κάποια death/black metal μπάντα (με εξαίρεση τον nihilist). Πάντως γαμάτο thread, μπορεί κανείς να μαζέψει πολλές photo!! :smiley:

Είναι αρκετά λογικό, αν σκεφτείς ότι το death / black σαν είδος είναι το “παιδί” (για να μην πώ “εγγόνι”) του Heavy Metal και η πλειοψηφία θα έχει ως αρχετυπική μορφή τον αρχηγό των Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Metallica ή Motorhead π.χ., παρά κάποιον που βγήκε λίγο αργότερα και απευθύνθηκε σε μικρότερο κοινό! :wink:

Σίγουρα έχεις δίκιο, αλλά οι Slayer δεν νομίζω να ανήκουν σε αυτή τη κατηγορία. Επίσης ειδικότερα για το black το θεωρώ ως κάτι που στέκεται μόνο του και όχι ως παιδί του heavy metal, οπότε θα περίμενα κάποιες αναφορές. Anywayz… :slight_smile:

Joey Ramone (May 19, 1951 ? April 15, 2001), born as Jeffry Ross Hyman, was a vocalist and songwriter best known for his work in the legendary punk rock group the Ramones. He and bandmate Johnny Ramone (né John Cummings) were the only two original members who stayed with the band until their retirement in 1996.

Hyman stood at six feet six inches tall, with an ectomorphic form and a long shock of black hair that almost completely obscured his face. Few photographs exist of him without his well-known attributes. He suffered from obsessive-compulsive disorder for which he checked himself into clinics when symptoms became unbearable.[1] It’s also known that he suffered from Marfan syndrome which gave him an awkward stature and gaunt appearance.

Joey Ramone died of lymphoma at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on April 15, 2001. He apparently had had lymphoma for a little over four years; he was sighted at a New York City cancer clinic that specializes in lymphoma in the mid 1990s. Countless memorials, both by fans and the rockers he influenced, followed.

Joey Ramone was honored with the creation of “Joey Ramone Place” outside the address of CBGB in New York City.
