With a population of about 10 million, Bangkok–built in the 1780s–numbers among the world’s largest cities. The product of explosive growth during the 1960s, Bangkok consumes more than half of Thailand’s electric power. A host of Piumino Moncler architectural and cultural attractions beckon to visitors on luxury Bangkok tours. Chief among these is the Wat Phra Keao–wat being the Thai word for temple–with its sharp spires and low white surrounding wall. The Emerald Buddha it houses stands on an 11-meter altar under a nine-tiered umbrella.
The sole cosmopolitan city in a country of villages and towns, Bangkok was created as a municipality only in the early 1970s. While the Thai know the city as Krung Thep, foreigners on luxury Bangkok tours rely on a name with, at the very least, a long and quaint story. One interpretation has it that Bangkok derived from the phrase village (bang) of wild plums (makok).
Luxury Bangkok Tours: Itinerary Stops
Luxury Bangkok tours were not on my mind the day I put a $50 deposit on a flight from London to Istanbul some years back. The extent of my planning at the time, in fact, Piumino Moncler was little more than a thought towards a third-class railway ticket from Istanbul through Tehran and Baghdad to Bangkok. The year was 1978. Instinct fortunately stepped in and intervened.
Krung Thep is an abbreviated form of the city’s full name. That translates to “the city of gods, the great city, the residence of the emerald Buddha, the impregnable city of the god Indra, the grand capital of the world endowed with nine precious gems, the happy city abounding Cappotti Moncler Uomo in large royal palaces resembling the heavenly abode where the reincarnated gods live, a city built by Vishnukarm and given by Indra.” Krung Thep Gilet Moncler Uomo alone translates, more or less, to "city of angels."

Apparently - while “historic” – Obama’s effort to win reelection “this year” isn’t "very significant."
Hell, the convention itself is "historic."
Regardless of the struggle to encourage attendance interest among Obama’s supporters, that seems to be the DNC’s chosen buzz word - "historic."
Besides, according to The Weather Channel’s website, the chance of rain in Charlotte drops from 60 percent on Tuesday down to 30 percent on Thursday. – at a bar in Atlanta, Ga.
In an effort to avoid that visual embarrassment, The Columbus Dispatch reported that organizers quickly “moved people from seats to the arena floor” in front of Obama "to project fullness to television audiences."
Of course, despite Monday’s report by AFP - quoting top convention organizer Steve Kerrigan’s assurance that “the event on Thursday night at Bank of America Stadium is going forward rain or shine” – organizers are now citing the threat of “severe weather” as the motivation behind the last-minute decision to change venues.
Dems move Obama’s speech to smaller venue
Just as his γ?Άγ?³γ?―γ?¬γ?Όγ?«γ??γ?Όγ?? race speech in March 2008 was “historic” and his 2008 DNC acceptance speech was “historic” and his election as “America’s first black president” was “historic,” Obama’s second acceptance speech on Thursday is also going to be - yes – "historic."
Discussion of Obama’s “historic” accomplishment of producing an economy that led to the first credit rating downgrade in United States history and what Forbes described as Obama’s “postwar record 42 months of unemployment over 8 percent” will also be avoided.
Considering the number of top Democrats and liberal Hollywood A-listers who decided to skip the DNC, the guest list will apparently be as underwhelming as the attendance.
Also reported Tuesday by The Hill, 52 percent of America’s likely voters say the country is in “worse condition” than it was four years ago and - “based solely on his job performance” – 54 percent don’t believe President Barack Obama deserves reelection.
Remember the Schottenstein Center at Ohio State University? That holds 20,000 too. Despite similar promises to produce “overflow crowds” for Obama’s official campaign launch back in May, campaign organizers only managed to fill 14,000 seats.
Of course, hitting that “historic” $16 trillion mark in national debt – shared by Brillig on the day of the DNC’s “historic” kick-off – will be avoided like the proverbial plague.
As described Monday by Michael Barone for The Washington Examiner, the floor of the Time Warner Cable Arena is - "tiny."
Despite the rain and winds from hurricane γ?Άγ?³γ?―γ?¬γ?Όγ?« Isaac - which delayed opening of the Republican National Convention – the Tampa Bay Times Forum was packed with “50,000 guests, including media, delegates and elected officials” on Tuesday – and Wednesday – and Thursday.
However, as “historic” as everything Obama has ever done or will ever do may be, it’s unlikely that any of the speakers – who will be paraded across the DNC stage from Tuesday through Thursday – will mention the “historic” number of Americans living on food stamps, which the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service reported Monday has more γ?Άγ?³γ?―γ?¬γ?Όγ?«γ?³γ?Όγ?? γ?¬γ??γ?£γ?Όγ?Ή than doubled during Obama’s presidency to a record $75.7 billion.
While Bill Clinton will attempt to rally the Obama troops on Wednesday, Hillary Clinton won’t be there. Rather than watching Obama’s “historic speech” as a top member of his presidential cabinet, she will instead be furthering her travels through the Cook Islands, Indonesia, China, Timor-Leste, Brunei, and Russia.
The Hill added that campaign organizers wouldn’t even say how many tickets had been “handed out” for Obama’s speech. Additional evidence of seat-filling trouble came when – while a campaign official claimed that the “demand” for credentials “was truly amazing” – they made the curious decision to suspend credential distribution "with the caveat that anyone in the state who is still interested in attending can sign up through the ‘I’m there’ program to know if and when additional seats will be given out."
As reported γ?Άγ?³γ?―γ?¬γ?Όγ?« γ?Ήγ?«γ?Όγ?? γ?*γ?£γ??γ?? Saturday by The Hill, organizers for the Democratic National Convention were confident they would fill every one of the 73,778 seats in Charlotte’s mammoth Bank of America Stadium by Thursday night. However, as reported Tuesday by The Daily Mail, organizers are now “poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium” by moving the location of his speech to the more modest Time Warner Cable Arena, “which has a capacity of just over 20,000.”
“The Cook Islands this year are the hosts of one of the most important institutions of the Pacific called the Pacific Island Forum,” The Cable quoted a senior State Department official explaining Thursday.
Regardless of their convenient, foul weather excuse, make no mistake. Obama’s campaign organizers are moving his speech to the Time Warner Cable Arena, where the bulk of the DNC festivities will take place, for one reason and one reason alone – to achieve the same illusion of "fullness."
It’s a group that meets yearly with a number of working groups. It’s been in existence almost half a century; it’s very significant.
My husband is 58 yrs old and has 25+ years experiance in Installation/Maintenance/Repair in the Industrial field. We feel that since he is 58 years old he is being shoved out and giving the openings to the younger people! I was drawing SSI due to disabilities due to osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease and am taking meds that I can’t do without and I am in pain management due to both of my knee’s needing to be total replacement due to being bone to bone! Also already having a cervical fusion of c-5 to c-6 c-6 to c-7 in 2006. I had a partial knee replacement in my rt knee in 8/2008 and had a cataract removed from my left eye in 10/2008. My husband just found out that he has diabeties type2 and was admitted into the hospital on 11/20/2010 due to a cracked rib where he had fallen that morning and cracked the rib while he went fishing with his son and that is why he found out he had diabeties and his blood sugar was at 381. My husband was at the stage of coma, heart attack, or stroke due to his blood sugar level the hospital discharged him on the 11/22/2010. I would like to say if anyone knows how things operate when you have no insurance the hospital won’t admit you and if they do they won’t keep you long at all!!! I tell you that he was kept as long as he was because he was in bad shape.
Now TennCare wants to take away my insurance leaving me with none at all and no way of getting any. My husband doesn’t have insurance either and the hospital where ??? he was admitted they are trying to sign him up for a charitable case so he won’t have to pay the hospital bill.
Does Congress know who pays their wages? Do they ( Congress ) know who is lining their pockets with their income? Enjoy your Insurance, your Christmas, and enjoy watching your family as they recieve their christmas presents while we the broke, unemployed, disabled have no Christmas presents to give to their loved one’s not even counting that we have no way to take care of our ownselves? I won’t to know if Congress is big enough to stand up for thier own people and their own Country the USA or continue sending help to other countries for food, shelter, and whatever else they help with the spending in their country’s ?
I have Mental Health Issues and so does my husband and we both have mental health meds we have to have not counting the physical problems we have to have meds for. I feel that we are just being led out to pasture to die so the population won’t be as large and I feel that we are not the only one’s being put into this situation. Our lives are now in the hands of Congress how do these people go to bed ??? and sleep through the night when knowing all of the people that are going to be with no income at all?
G - that is absolutley correct. This bill must not pass. It it about time all of the unemployed were grouped as one and this could be the perfect time to do this. Congress is ignoring the largest group of unemployed and it will keep getting larger. We simply cannot let them defer this problem again. They have to act to fix this now. One note of interest - on the front page of the Huffington Post - right under the news about this bill is the article saying jpsmoncler.com that four million (99ers) will not be helped here. I called the White House thank for letting the 99er’s down and having it relayed to him that the unemployed are not STUPID people! The TRUE figures are 17% and 4 million unemployed!!! Many of the 2 million he is talking about helping are on their later Tiers so the will not be getting it for the full time. There may not be a tax increas this January, but there will be Whoppers of increases, both State and Federal in January 2012 when the unemployed have resorted to Welfare and this huge deficit figure has to be paid back!!!
Thanks for contacting those elected doubt if I will be voting for Republicans, but we will soon know how Obama and the Democrats feel about the 99ers and can make our decisions based on their actions. It may be necessary to get behind candidates of alternative political parties if the Democrats and Republicans won’t help the unemployed. The Democrats will blame the unemployed for their continuing losses by dividing the vote, but this is the time to think about third, fourth, and fifth tier candidates who will vocalize our displeasure with the two party system. Obama seems to be destined to be a one-termed President, so we need to identify alternates. If only Senator Bernie Sanders would run. Now he has been unemployed since 03/28/2009 due to the plant he worked for shut down and will not be opening back up!
Congress is letting the american people down and there will be other voting times and if we are still ??? alive when voting time comes around again I PROMISE you that we won’t forget the people in Congress that wanted to help us and the ones that just don’t care and we will cast our votes accordingly!!! Congress needs to pray for their souls and I am talking about the ones that are selfish and don’t want to lose a penny or share with the humble poor people of America! God Bless us all!!!
passed as is, from the moment this would become law, those who will begin to collect UI again will exhaust their UI at a rate of 90,000 per month. passed as is, I would suggest that we will not see the economic recovery move forward. you need proof, National Unemployment Rate has been at or above for 19 months. question you may ask is why? As a Country, there are simply too many unemployed (the 99ers) who have been unable to invest in the economy for 9 months or longer.
proposal that President Obama put forth needs to be voted down! is not said as a 99er, this is said as one who studies the facts and figures with respect to economics and the history of past economic recoveries.
President Obama is to extend unemployment insurance that will save 2 million unemployed Americans.
Americans are not included in this proposed legislation, all those two million who President Obama is so concerned about will at some point become 99ers. the sake of the 5 million plus 99ers, as well the sake of our Country’s economic future, contact your elected officials and tell them they must vote NO, unless all unemployed Americans are in the extension of insurance.
DO NOT let this proposed legislation go through as is
passed as is, 5 MILLION Americans (the 99ers), will not be saved.
Oil became an issue of national security since the 1970’s when America’s oil peaked and Al Qaeda defended their countries oil from the western world. Oil is not Moncler political friendly.
However there are alternatives to our oil hungry mentality. With 40% petroleum consumption used in electric power and 28% in transportation, a transition to use 28% fuel consumption by methods of renewable fuels like bio fuel is practical. For the past three decades institutions mainly in the Americas and Australia have been studding the best biomass to be used as fuel. Algae in many scientists view should be ranked number one for the best bio fuel on the market. The reason being is that, Algae is an organism that grows at an expediential rate requiring either unclean fresh water or russia-moncler ocean water. Algae requires CO2 to grow, and the fuel derived from Algae produces the least amount of CO2 emissions and can yield 10 to 100 times more fuel than any other bio fuel. To put it into perspective it would take 15000 square miles (0.42% of American land) to replace all of the United States Fuel consumption, and 57.3 million hectors to replace the current 1.7 billion tons of conventional diesel use. Is it not time for all governments to come together at a G8 summit and get real? Why is it that the general populations are not aware of this alternative fuel? Imagine a world dependant on a stinky micro organism like Algae. I remember reading that the oil spill in the Gulf mixed with the hot weather cooked the birds alive, who were covered in oil! That was just heart wrenching. But if we could expand our dependency to Algae, well that would be a good solution to pollution! Yes it maybe stinky but if it works, it means it saves us from a stinky future!
Oil Dependent or Bio Diesel Dependent World
Oil, gasoline, diesel, all products of billion year old fossils, and are not renewable. Petroleum is in the production of everyday uses form the production of plastics, machinery to paper. The world has become exuberantly dependant on oil since its discovery. The russia-moncler use of crude oil has brought the 20th century to the greatest and most rapid expansion, scale and scope in our evolution through technological, health, agriculture, and infrastructure in history. However oil has already peaked in American in the 1970’s and in other regions around the world in 2006. Many corporations and governments are in complete denial, and oil will become a scarce commodity. This is a great issue that most turn a blind eye to; oil has already peaked and will need Moncler ??? a replacement when it becomes scarce. The 20th century experience a time of expansion, the 21st will follow in contraction and simplicity.
The extraction of crude oil is not environmentally friendly. On April 20th the world and America watched in awe as the Bp Offshore Oilrig exploded and the well had burst. It released a recorded 5 billion tons of crude oil into the Gulf. This not only resulted in the deaths of 11 and 17 injured, but a damaged ecosystem, and thousands of lively hoods for many Americans. To date oil sheen and oil tar balls are seen on shores and boat wakes. Dolphins and whales are dieing at twice the normal rate, and mutated spices of crab, shrimp and fish are the sad result recorded by NOAA scientists. Due to Bp, and Halliburton’s cost cutting decisions, and lack of a proper safety system for the well, the rig released tons of oil causing an inhumane disaster quoted by President Barak Obama to be, “the worst oil spill in American history.” Bp settled for a 20 billion dollar fund for those families affected and the failed efforts of containment. No arrests were made, in which is a violation of many environmental acts. There was no fund for the recovery of the eco system affected.
