Σκεφτόμουν να βάλω ένα όριο συγκροτημάτων, είπα να προσπαθήσω για πενηντάδα.
Το να ξεχωρίσεις όμως τις αγαπημένες σου μπάντες είναι αδύνατο, το να τις κατατάξεις για να δεις ποιες σου περισσεύουν εκτός πενηντάδας, ακόμα χειρότερα.
Και με ποια λογική κάποιες μπάντες ανάγονται σε αγαπημένες? Σίγουρα ένας τρόπος είναι το consistency, το ένα καλό άλμπουμ μετά το άλλο στο περίπου για δεκαετίες (σπάνιο). Άλλες έχουν μια μαγική περίοδο (συνήθως μέχρι 5-6 άλμπουμ νομίζω) και η όποια ποιοτική πτώση στην πορεία δεν επηρεάζει τα συναισθήματά σου για αυτή. Υπάρχουν και απίστευτες μπάντες με πολύ μικρές δισκογραφίες που “δεν αξίζουν” την ένταξη στην πενηντάδα. Δηλαδή 2-3 άλμπουμ, όσο καλά κι αν είναι, δεν θα εκτοπίσουν εύκολα μέσα μου μπάντες που έχουν 10 απίστευτα άμπουμ. Οι περισσότερες αγαπημένες μου μπάντες έχω παρατηρήσει πως έχουν τουλάχιστον 5 πολύ αγαπημένα άλμπουμ, κάποιες ακόμα περισσότερα. Από την άλλη, υπάρχουν και κάποιες μπάντες που δεν έχω ακούσει την πλήρη ή έστω μεγάλο μέρος της δισκογραφίας τους (πολλές κόπηκαν λόγω αυτού του κανόνα). Πχ. Kansas, τα 5-6 πρώτα άλμπουμ τους είναι τεράστια διαμάντια ικανά να τους κατατάξουν στις αγαπημένες μου 5-10 το πολύ prog μπάντες… Όμως στην πορεία, έχω ακούσει 1-2 πράγματα που δε μου έκαναν καθόλου και δεν έχω ασχοληθεί παραπάνω. Μπαίνουν? Ή δε μπάινουν? Νιώθω πως δεν “πρέπει”. Wayne Shorter τα ίδια, ό,τι έχω ακούσει (καμιά δεκαριά δίσκους) το αγαπώ. Αλλά δεν έχω ακούσει το υπόλοιπο ένα εκατομμύριο κυκλοφορίες που έχει βγάλει. Τέσπα, όλα αυτά για να καταλήξω πως οι αγαπημένες μου μπάντες κάπως μαγικά από 50 έγιναν 53…
