τι γίνεται?? Είναι διαφορετική έκδοση? DVD δεν έχει πάντως!!!
Εγώ έχω το άνωθεν, έχει DVD από κάτι πρόβες τους
MARINER κι εγώ αυτό που σου ήρθε έχω και γω, είναι η απλή έκδοση.
Το άλλο είναι η limited με το DVD.
Για διαφορές στο booklet δεν γνωρίζω.
Πω ρε πουστη μου… Ξενερωσα!!! έτσι μου 'ρχεται να το κάνω εκτύπωση και να το βάλω στο cd…
πάντως το μπουκλετακι γαμαει… Σε κάθε σελίδα και artwork!!!
…αυτή εννοούσα σαν lmt…την είχα πάρει, και το dvd είχε αυτό που περιέγραφα πάνω,μέσα στο στούντιο όντως…την αντάλαξα με την απλή έκδοση με τον Sok, και τώρα έχω αυτή που έχεις και εσύ, χωρίς να με χαλάει καθόλου…μια χαρά έκδοση, με ωραίο αρτ-γουόρκ κιαυτή:):!:
Κάπου πριν το Πάσχα είπα να πιάσω όλη τη δισκογραφία τους από την αρχή. Και κάπως έτσι κατέληξα όλους αυτούς τους μήνες να ακούσω σχεδόν μόνο Primordial. Είναι λίγο βαρετό να γράφω διθυράμβους, πόσο επικά είναι τα riff τους, πόσο τραγική (με την καλή έννοια) η ερμηνεία του Alan κλπ. οπότε απλά θα κάνω μία σύναψη για το πώς μου φάνηκε κάθε album.
[B]’‘Imrama’’[/B]: δυστυχώς θα είναι πάντα το ‘‘ξεχασμένο’’ album τους, κι ας είναι όσο ποιοτικό είναι. Όταν το είχα πρωτοακούσει είχε μείνει στο MP3 για αρκετές βδομάδες, αλλά όταν προχωράς στα υπόλοιπα τότε κάπου χάνεται. Εκτός απ’ το ‘‘The darkest flame’’, που ακόμα και στο demo ήταν ένα σκαλί πάνω απ’ τα πάντα. Από άποψη καινοτομίας κλπ. πιστεύω ότι το ‘‘Imrama’’ όταν κυκλοφόρησε θα πρέπει να είχε φανεί το ίδιο περίεργο με το ‘‘Thy mighty contract’’,
[B]’‘A journey’s end’’[/B]: πήρε και την ψήφο μου στο poll, κι ας λατρεύω και ‘‘Redemption at the puritan’s hand’’, ‘‘Spirit the earth aflame’’ κλπ. Αυτό μου έκανε σαν το πιο ‘‘θλιμμένο’’, ρομαντικό album τους. Έχει μία περίεργη γλύκα. Βασικά για τα 4 πρώτα τραγούδια μιλάω, κι εκεί να σταματούσε ο δίσκος θα μου έφτανε. Τόσο απίστευτο drumming και δομές γενικότερα, το πώς εναλάσσονται, σχεδόν υπάρχει κάτι το progressive μέχρι να ολοκληρωθεί κάθε μουσική ιδέα, δεν ξέρω αν με πιάνετε. Η κορύφωση στο τέλος του ‘‘Autumn’s ablaze’’ είναι το κάτι άλλο, το ίδιο και η μελωδία του ‘‘Journey’s end’’ στην αρχή, η ερμηνεία του Alan στο ‘‘Dark song’’ σου χαράσσεται στο μυαλό. Νιώθω ότι εδώ οι Primordial έγιναν κάτι πραγματικά ξεχωριστό και σημαντικό.
[B]’‘Spirit the earth aflame’’[/B]: αντικειμενικά ίσως να είναι και το καλύτερο album τους, αν κι άλλοι θα προτιμήσουν το ‘‘The gathering wilderness’’. Για μένα αποτελείται από ΚΛΑΣΙΚΑ (πλέον) metal τραγούδια, δηλαδή κάτι ‘‘Gods to the godless’’, ‘‘The burning season’’ κλπ. έχουν γράψει τη δική τους ιστορία. Και ούτε ένα filler, ε, κάτι που δε θα μπορούσα να πω για τα προηγούμενα album. Εδώ οι τύποι πραγματικά έφτασαν το Έβερεστ τους.
[B]’‘Storm before calm’’[/B]: να πω τη αλήθεια, μετά τα ‘‘A journey’s end’’ και ‘‘Spirit the earth aflame’’ το ‘‘Storm before calm’’ μου φάνηκε σαν γροθιά στο στομάχι. Περίμενα να συνεχίζεται το ‘‘μελωδικό’’/επικό/αργό στυλ των προκατόχων του, αλλά να που το ‘‘Storm before calm’’ ξεκινά με το ‘‘The heretics age’’! Και το ‘‘What sleeps within’’ και γενικά πιο πολλά ουρλιαχτά, πιο δυναμικές/γκαζωμένες κιθάρες, μου φάνηκε σαν ένα ξαφνικό back to the past. Που, δυστυχώς, σταματά σε αυτόν και μόνο το δίσκο, αφού οι μετέπειτα μάλλον επέλεξαν αυτό το πιο ‘‘τραγικό’’/θρηνητικό στυλ τραγουδιών. Δε μου κάνει εντύπωση που για αυτό το album διάβασα κάμποσες κακές κριτικές (όχι εδώ μέσα), παρόλα αυτά για μένα αυτή η διαφορετικότητα του είναι που το κάνει τόσο ξεχωριστό.
[B]’‘The gathering wilderness’’[/B]: δισκάρα, ναι. Έχει το αγαπημένο μου τραγούδι τους (ποιο άλλο; Το ‘‘The coffin ships’’), έχει το ‘‘End of all times (martyrs fire)’’, το ‘’ The song of the tomb’’, έχει (κατά τη γνώμη μου) την πιο δυνατή ερμηνεία Alan ever. Παίρνει πάνω του όλο το δίσκο. Τέτοιο πάθος, τέτοιο δυναμισμό καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του δίσκου μόνο εδώ έχει, πιστεύω.
[B]’‘To the nameless dead’’[/B]: το album που μου αρέσει λιγότερο, ίσως πιο κάτω και απ’ το ‘‘Imrama’’ ακόμα. Ένα ‘‘The gathering wilderness’’ νούμερο 2; Εγώ κάπως έτσι το είδα. Ο.Κ., έχει το ‘‘Gallows hymn’’ που σου σηκώνεται η τρίχα, αλλά τραγούδια σαν τα ‘‘Sons of the Morrigan’’, ‘‘Fallen to ruin’’ κλπ. δεν έχει. Δηλαδή τραγούδια που από την αρχή, από την πρώτη ακρόαση να σου κάνουν την τρία κάγκελο, να θες να τα βάζεις ξανά και ξανά. Αυτό το έβαζα ξανά και ξανά μόνο και μόνο για να προσπαθήσω να βρω κάτι που δε βρήκα. Κάπως μου φάνηκε σαν επαναπαύτηκαν σε ένα στυλ που που είναι καλοί και δεν ενδιαφέρθηκαν καθόλου να το εξελίξουν.
[B]’‘Redemption at the puritans’ hand’’[/B]: το άκουσα κάπως ψιλο- αναγκαστικά, πίστευα ότι θα κινούνταν στα ίδια χνάρια με τα προηγούμενα 2 και δε θα είχε κάτι άλλο να μου δώσει. Ναι, καλά! Προς έκπληξη μου το ‘‘Redemption at the puritan’s hand’’ περιέχει ΑΚΡΙΒΩΣ τα τραγούδια που θα ήθελα να ακούσω από έναν καινούριο Primordial δίσκο. Ούτε αναμασήματα ούτε τίποτα. Καταρχήν δε φοβούνται να ρίξουν τις ταχύτητες και να γίνουν ακόμα πιο μελωδικοί. Μιλάω για τα ‘‘The mouth of Judas’’, ‘‘The puritan’s hand’’, ‘‘Dead of the gods’’ που αποτελούν και τα αγαπημένα μου τραγούδια του δισκου. Δε φοβούνται να γράψουν πιο ‘‘περίεργα’’ κομμάτια, στυλ ‘‘God’s old snake’’ (πιστεύω στο μέλλον κάπως έτσι θα τους ταίριαζε να ακούγονται) ή και ‘‘The black hundred’’ ακόμα. Και, τέλος, δε φοβούνται να ξαναχρησιμοποιήσουν τις ‘‘Storm before calm’’ μανιέρες και να βγάζουν τραγούδια στυλ ‘‘Bloodied yet unbowed’’ (μα το black metal ξέσπασμα είναι αυτό στη μέση;) και ‘‘Lain with the wolf’’. Τα επικά riff είναι όσο επικά χρειάζονται, ο Alan όπου ουρλιάζει το κάνει τέλεια, όπου θρηνεί το κάνει ακόμα πιο τέλεια, οι μελωδίες ακούγονται όσο θλιμμένες πρέπει, γενικά το ‘‘Redemption at the puritan’s hand’’ έπιασε κορυφή για μένα, και δεν το περίμενα. Σίγουρα στα 3 πιο αγαπημένα μου album τους. Και δεν το περίμενα αυτό στον έβδομο, πλέον, δίσκο τους. Πραγματικά αυτό το album μου τίναξε τα μυαλά, το άκουγα για πόσο καιρό συνέχεια.
Ε αυτά πάνω κάτω. Ειδική μνεία, πέρα από τα φωνητικά του Alan, στο drumming του Simon και τα riff του Ciaran (αυτός δε γράφει και τη μουσική γενικά;). Τα drums είναι απλά απίστευτα σε κάθε album, τα γυρίσματα, το πώς κρατάει τους ρυθμούς, τα πάντα. Έχει πολύ ιδιαίτερο παίξιμο. Οι κιθάρες, από την άλλη, είναι για μένα και η ουσία των Primordial. Οι lead μελωδίες, τα ξεσπάσματα, τα riff. Αν και οι στίχοι ξεκολλήσουν λίγο από την Ιρλανδία θα είμαι ακόμα πιο ευχαριστημένος.

Χωρις να εχω διαβασει το thread, ερχομαι να πω την αμαρτια μου και ας με συγχωρεσει ο υψιστος…εχω ακουσει μονο σκορπια κομματια απο το Storm Before Calm και απο το Gathering Wilderness, και παρολο που μετα τα μυαλα μου διακοσμουσαν τους τοιχους, δεν εκατσα να ψαξω τη δισκογραφια της μπαντας. Θελω λοιπον οι πιο ψαγμενοι απο 'δω χαμου να μου πουν με τι να ξεκινησω και με ποια σειρα να ακουσω τα αλμπουμς της μπαντας μηπως και εξιλεωθω…
το παραπανω ποστ του leper jesus ειναι ιδανικο για να δεις το υφος του καθε δισκου.εγω θα ελεγα να ξεκινησεις με το The Gathering Wilderness η με το τελευταιο.
δεν ξερω παντως πως θα σου φανουν τα μπλακ μεταλ φωνητικα μιας και εχεις πιο κλασικα ακουσματα.
Για εμενα που μου κανει πιο πολυ η doom/κλασσικομεταλαδικη πλευρα τους η Αγια Τριαδα ειναι A Journey’s End-the Gathering Wilderness-Redemption at the Puritan’s Hand με αυτα τα τρια να μην πολυξεχωριζουν αλλα αγαπημενο μου μαλλον το τελευταιο. Οχι οτι τα υπολοιπα αλμπουμ πανε πισω δηλαδη…
Όντως το ποστ του leper Jesus είναι ένας καλός μπούσουλας για τη μπάντα, αν και διαφωνώ σ’αυτά που γράφει για το nameless διότι έχει μέσα ύμνους όπως τα as Rome burns και traitors gate!!
το σίγουρο όμως είναι ότι με ότι και να ξεκινήσεις θα κολλήσεις άσχημα!!!
εφω περιμένω πως κ πως να έρθει ο Νοέμβριος να τους δω από κοντά για πρώτη φορά!!!

? ROME BURNS?
My friend from Athens just told me he bought a gun. He just shrugged his shoulders and stared into the middle distance. ?It?s really becoming crazy down there, people are desperate?. Fearing break-ins he seemed to have little option left in his mind but to take this drastic measure. For the moment it sits beside his bed in a drawer, how long before he ends up taking it out with him into the streets. The people are at breaking point, daily clashes between far right and far left in city and town squares mask the general feeling of unrest and brooding tension of people not affiliated with either of the headline grabbers. Greece is the historical birthplace of European democracy, reduced to soup kitchens and Molotov cocktails. Antonis Samaras, the incumbent new Prime Minister of Greece and has avowed to row back some of the more extreme austerity measures being imposed on Greece. Today I pick up a newspaper and look at pictures of well-fed Central European beaurocrats waxing lyrical about Greece?s problems, they talk tough, there is no room for economic weakness and the future is austerity upon austerity. I then watch footage of a young mother in Athens of two perched on a window ledge eight floors up about to fling herself to her death because she cannot feed her kids anymore.
So where did it all go wrong for Europe? The answer is really fundamentally rather simple and really a rather plain failure starting super state federalists in the face. Fiscal and economic union has always been on the cards for Europe since the Marshall plan helped rebuild Europe after WWII but it took the small matter of the ending of the Cold War to really hasten delivery. Planning monetary union had been moving at slow enough pace throughout the 80s but the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 moved Mitterand?s French fears of German economic supremacy to the brink as German reunification looked inevitable. The fundamental purpose of the European Union post WWII has been to keep countries that made war with each other economically dependent on each other to avoid future conflagrations. Mitterand and many others saw that German unification given time would strengthen the Deutschmark inexorably and irreversibly. How better to make Europe more co-dependent and also to hamstring Germany then to force economic union upon all member states?
The problem though is simple. How can x amount of European countries with varying economies achieve fiscal union? The ultimate goal was of course to stop nationalism in its tracks through further integration and stop the very source of 20th century conflicts. Changing the habits of hundreds of years of European nation and state building are not so simple. What should have happened was political union first and economic union second, it happened the other way around and many would argue political union never happened. There was never the appetite for it among the people so the politicians and bankers simply ignored it. As Europe unravels it becomes clearer and clearer that uniting the continents banking system and making them dependant is one thing but this should have followed political union. The simple fact that from Swedish Gotland to Spanish Catalonia people still see themselves as regional points to the ultimate failure of European Union. As soup kitchens grow on the streets of Athens, youth unemployment heads towards 50% in Spain, thousands of Irish emigrate as we did many generations and among many other examples the far left and far right are on the rise, capitalising on poverty and unrest throughout Europe. Wasn?t European Union supposed to have quelled all this? Creating a super state of prosperity and equality?
It was a botched and rushed job from the start and despite a few years in the sun the cracks were showing well before Lehmann brothers collapsed in the USA. This was just the symbolic fall of the old Empire and the baton being passed to the Far east and Chinese economic supremacy. You could well argue we?ve had 500 years of European expansion, colonialism, and empire building from the day Vasco de Gama set sail from Portugal round the horn of South Africa to India and established through force European dominance of trade. The Age of Empires had begun and we dear sirs are possibly at the end and the fall of the west. If I?m wrong then fine and well, feed me to the nay-sayers but the signs are there and poverty breeds unrest. Austerity does not support growth.
Isn?t this how the gears began to grind before the WWI started? The deeply entrenched French and English fear of Germany?s federal might at the heart Europe?s decision making? The bullet in the head at Sarajevo might have been the ultimate catalyst but the nations were restless, Bismarck?s sabre rattling had them digging trenches long before Ferdinand?s demise. Yet here we are again, Merkel calling the tune despite the rest of Europe?s best efforts to saddle Germany with crippling WWI reparations nearly 100 years before. Yet we all know what happened in the economic wasteland following the Great War in the thirties as depression sank in, inflation rose and poverty gave way to political extremism. Hitler rose from the ashes of enforced Austerity and the rest as they say is indeed history. Sure enough I?m hinting at the doomsday scenario for Europe right now but deep underneath the political hive of Brussels the molotovs thrown on an Athens are sending deep and dark reverberations through the political system and so they should. We all saw what happened during the London riots when after again one bullet pandemonium reigned on the streets of London and quickly spread like wildfire through the country. Britain?s new coalition government very quickly was staring a state of anarchy right in the face. Are you telling me that one scared cop at a student rally in Madrid, Paris or Athens who pulls the trigger couldn?t start the conflagration. Could we be so far from the people dragging the politicians and bankers to the gallows?
