“Sol austan, Mani vestan” is the 11th album from Burzum and a return to a purely electronic and instrumental expression. “Sol austan, Mani vestan” is different from all the older albums, and yet similar to all of them, and is in style more than anything similar to the oldest ambient music of Burzum, like the tracks “Tomhet”, “Han som reiste” and “Channelling the power of Minds into a new God”. “Sol austan, Mani vestan” is inspired by and made for the “ForeBears” movie by Marie Cachet and Varg Vikernes, where much of the Scaldic music from “Sol austan, Mani vestan” appears, only in unmastered form, as a soundtrack. Burzum says of the new album: “Sol austan, Mani vestan” will feature almost an hour of instrumental electronic music, that can best be described as relaxing, slow-paced, contemplative and very much original. And of the concept Burzum says; I have still not been able to leave behind the Pagan religious-spiritual concept of a descent into darkness and the following ascend back into the light; the Pagan initiation, the elevation of man to the divine, the enlightenment of the mind, the feeding of the elven light in man.

Oτι και να βγάλει, το feeling του δεν το χει κανείς. Οσο πιο απλό το ηχητικό αποτέλεσμα τόσο καλύτερο συνήθως.
Μου αρέσουν πάρα πολύ και τα 3 μ.φ. (μετά φυλακής), αναμένουμε.

Δεν περιμένω απολύτως τίποτε από το ambient του Varg. Ότι ήταν να πει σε αυτό το πεδίο το είπε με τα tomhet & Rundgang um die… Tα καθαρά ambient άλμπουμ του ήταν το λιγότερο αδιάφορα, για να μην πω τίποτε άλλο.

Τα μετά Belus ανέμπνευστα και βαρετά όσο δεν πάει. Θα το ακούσω από περιέργεια.

To Hliðskjálf θυμάμαι ότι ήταν σαφώς ανώτερο από το Daudi Baldrs, αλλά τελικά και από τα δύο δεν μου έμεινε τίποτε, με την εξαίρεση 2-3 στιγμών. Τουλάχιστον ήταν ειλικρινής στην προσέγγιση του - μουσικά μιλώντας -, κάτι για το οποίο αρχίζω να αμφιβάλλω πλέον.

Σίγουρα πάντως ο Varg συνεχίζει να προσφέρει γενναιόδωρα το γέλιο στο blog του.

Γιατί οι ναζί καλά έκαναν και έκαιγαν βιβλία - κατά τα άλλα γκρινιάζει αν τον κατηγορήσουν ως Ναζί.

Untermenschen = is a term that became infamous when the Nazi racial ideology used it to describe “inferior people”, especially “the masses from the East,” that is Jews, Gypsies, and Slavic peoples including Poles, Serbs, Belarusians, Russians and Rusyns.

Λοιπόν τέρμα τα αστεία, ας σταματήσουμε να ακούμε black metal και ας γίνουμε REAL MEN.

1,2,3 πάμε πάλι… Ο Varg λέει δεν θα ξαναπαίξει metal (τι μου θυμιζει, τι μου θυμιζει)… και μας χαρίζει το farewell κύκνειο άσμα του :

Today (2013) I think I am done playing metal music for good.

So, just like I started out I will finish metal-Burzum with a guitars-and-bass-only track in rehearsal quality. “Back to the Shadows” is made up of the last metal riffs I ever made (in 2012). It was never released in any way, or recorded (beyond what you hear here), and it will not either – beyond this short “video”.

Take it for what it is; a sentimental good bye to metal-Burzum.

Όντως, περνάει ευχάριστα η ώρα, απλά το βάζεις και κάνεις άλλα πράγματα παράλληλα.

Δεν κατάλαβα τον λόγο να βγάλει τέτοιον δίσκο. Δεν είναι καλός, δεν είναι κακός, είναι αδιάφορος. Συναίσθημα και ατμόσφαιρα υπάρχουν πάντα αλλά δεν αρκούν.
Κρίμα γιατί μ’αρέσουν πολύ τα 3 τελευταία.
