Ozric Tentacles have carved out a universe entirely their own. From their roots on the UK’s free festival circuit to becoming one of the defining names in experimental rock, the Ozrics have spent more than four decades charting a wonderfully offbeat course through prog, space rock, electronica and beyond, creating an instantly recognisable musical world that has inspired generations of musicians and listeners alike.
Harmonic Mind, the band’s 17th studio album, is another welcome chapter in that ever-evolving story. Named after the geometric structure and harmonic nature of existence, the album sees the Ozrics once again weaving together soaring guitar melodies, intricate rhythms, lush synth textures and deep, hypnotic grooves into the kind of free-flowing psychedelic odyssey that has become their trademark.

Space Platform is a bit like a launch pad to the new Ozric world. Twisting and turning through the lines and spaces of the Harmonical mind landscape. Hang onto the turf lest you float away.”
Recorded at the band’s home studios as it gradually took shape across Scotland, Devon and finally Glastonbury, Harmonic Mind also captures something a little different. Featuring the full touring line-up - including drummer Pat Garvey, bassist Corey Wallace, percussionist Paul Hankin and multi-instrumentalist Saskia Maxwell - the album has a natural energy that reflects the chemistry of the band’s live performances, with each player bringing their own voice to the music.
Produced by Ed Wynne and Silas Neptune, with mastering handled by Silas for the first time, the album feels both fresh and reassuringly familiar. Even the return of the beloved Erp on the cover art offers a knowing nod to longtime listeners. There’s no radical change of direction here, just Ozric Tentacles doing what they do best.
2026 sees Ozric Tentacles continue their extensive touring schedule with a large run of Autumn/Winter shows and a number of co-headline shows alongside The Orb.

Lustmord, the pioneer of modern ambient electronic music, and Dave Lombardo, one of heavy music’s most influential percussionists, have joined forces as LUSTMORD LOMBARDO.

“One thing about an album like this is that you can’t really point it out as being part of any specific genre or hopefully any specific period,” Lustmord explains. “Is it from last year? Is it from 10 years ago, is it from 20 years ago, is it from 5 years in the future? It’s trying to create something that has its own sound, not tapping into whatever musical language or history you’re familiar with. It goes way, way further back. This is the sound of planets dying or of stars being born. It’s about a bigger picture. It’s the sound of the birth of the universe and the death of the universe; it’s not rock and roll.”
The two musicians met backstage at a Fantômas show, introduced by mutual friend Buzz Osborne, around the time that Lustmord and Melvins released their collaborative album. Nearly two decades later, Lombardo and Lustmord convened as Lustmord Lombardo, crafting an album that is as cold and distant as it is frantic and engaging. The Pulse of Atoms showcases an unheard side of Lombardo and brings Lustmord back to his industrial roots.
“I’m very proud of this collaboration because it’s so different from anything else that I’ve done,” Lombardo adds. “And to create this body of work with Lustmord - this guy is legendary! He rattles the plaster off of venues.”

Εχεις δικιο μιας και οι περισσοτερες προσφαατες του κυκλοφοριες ειναι πολυ τιμιες.
Απλα δε περιμενα να μου αρεσει τοσο εν ετει 2026 ΜΜ δισκος!

Καθόλου αναπάντεχο, το Part 1 για 'μένα είναι από τους καλύτερους του δίσκους έβερ. Καλό και το Part 2, αλλα σε καμία περίπτωση δε φτάνει τις συνθέσεις του πρώτου. Μέχρι στιγμής πάντως αυτός είναι ο δίσκος που ακούω τον φετινό Αύγουστο.

Πριν 1,5 χρόνο τον είδα και ζωντανά και εντυπωσιάστηκα. Σχεδόν έπαθα την πλάκα μου, ήτανε τρο-με-ρός.

Ναι πριν καμια 20αρα χρόνια, επαιξε μια μερα πριν τους sabbath , tera vibe με support garbage και matisse. Ωραία εμφάνιση, best of, τρελη σκηνικη παρουσία, πολυ λίγος κόσμος για την δυναμικη του ονόματός του τότε.

Θα ελεγα οτι μετα την χρυση του πενταδα (το σερι δηλαδη απο Antichrist Superstar εως και το πολυ υποτιμημενο Eat Me, Drink Me), εχει βγαλει καποια διαμαντακια, αλλα ειχε και καποιες μετριες περιοδους.
Τα The High End Of Low και Born Villain μου περασαν αρκετα αδιαφορα μπορω να πω, μετα εβγαλε το The Pale Emperor (ανετα το καλυτερο για τα δικα μου γουστα απο οσα εχει βγαλει τα τελευταια 18 χρονια), και μετα προσωπικα απογοητευτηκα ξανα, και πολυ μαλιστα, με το Heaven Upside Down.
Το We Are Chaos ηταν καλουλι, αλλα τα τελευταια δυο ειναι φανταστικα.
Στο ειχα πει πριν τον δεις οτι ειναι φοβερος λαηβ, γιατι πολυ απλα ημουν κι εγω…
…εκει. Στην Μαλακασα, οπου και οι Garbage και ο ΜΜ εδωσαν μια απο τις καλυτερες συναυλιες που εχω δει. Το μονο αρνητικο εκεινης της εμφανισης ειναι πως ειχε παιξει περιπου 1 ωρα και 20 λεπτα, το οποιο ως headliner και μαλιστα σε μια εποχη (2005) που εισαι τοσο τεραστιο ονομα, ε ειναι πολυ λιγο.
