Αναρωτιέμαι πόσο πολλά μπορούν να αλλάξουν μέσα σε λίγα χρόνια. Τότε το 2007, όταν περίμενα την συνέχεια του φοβερού τους ντεμπούτου προσπαθούσα να πείσω ένα φίλο μου να ακούσει arcade fire, με βασικό επιχείρημα πως έπαιξαν support στους αγαπημένους του u2. Τα κατάφερα, μα τώρα δεν είναι πια εδώ για να ακούσουμε μαζί το καινούργιο τους ή για να πάει στους u2. Ας είναι…
Είμαι στο τέταρτο κομμάτι και το άλμπουμ φαίνεται πολύ τίμιο, με προϊδεάζει για κάτι καλύτερο από το Neon Bible και βλέπουμε.
#1 Στα μπιλμπορντς, εδιωξε τους A7X απο την κορυφη που ηταν την προηγουμενη βδομαδα…
Οπως και ναχει, 2 μπαντες απο το ευρυτερο φασμα της ροκ πουλάνε, thats kindof a big deal…

εξαιρετική κριτική.συμφωνώ με κάθε λέξη και ειδικά με την τελευταία παράγραφο.
και συγχωρείσαι που δεν είχες καμία επαφή με το συγκρότημα προηγουμένως.
πάντως χθες αργά το βράδυ καθόμουν και διάβαζα όλους τους στίχους από το suburbs και μπορώ να πω πως πλέον είμαι σίγουρος για το ποιός είναι ο δίσκος της χρονιάς για μένα.παραθέτω τυχαία τους στίχους του “suburban war”:

Ωραιο review και ωραία φάση να μην έχεις κάποια επαφή με κάτι τόσο ενδιαφερον όσο οι Arcade fire πχ. Να έχεις και χρόνο μπροστα σου για να το ανακαλύψεις…
Δεν έχω αξιωθεί να το ακούσω ακόμα αλλα είμαι τόσο πολύ θετικά προετοιμασμένος που ελπίζω να μην διαψευστώ…

Καλα εγω κατι εχω παθει με το sprawl II, ο δισκος ειναι λες και σε οδηγει σε αυτο το κομματι.

και διαβάζοντας και τους στίχους είμαι πλέον πεπεισμένος πως είναι το καλύτερο κομμάτι του δίσκου.

Απιστευτοι στιχοι!
κορυφη και το deep blue
το είχα τονίσει και εγώ πιο πριν στο thread:
και δεν έχω αλλάξει καθόλου γνώμη.
16 κομμάτια και ούτε ένα filler.
πραγματικά τρομερό.
Είμαι στη μέση και ακούγεται υπέροχο…
Y.Γ: Είναι και ο πιο 'ελαφρύς-ευκολοάκουστος-εύπεπτος" δίσκος τους μέχρι στιγμής.
ενιωθα πολυ καπως σουλατσαρωντας στο μεταμεσονυχτιο, αδειο, μαρουσακι ακουγοντας το δισκο.Πολυ σουρεαλ κατασταση ηταν, ειναι φορες που νιωθω οτι βιωνω τον στιχο του δίσκου, και δεν ξερω αν μαρεσει ή οχι. Μαλλον οχι.
Suburban War. Ποσο ακομα θα με στοιχειωνει το ιντρο. Τοσο απλο, μα και τοσο συνθετο.
Θα ήθελα να προσθέσω ότι πρόκειται για μεγάλη δισκάρα. 
Θα γράψω αναλυτικά αφού περάσω τις 15-20 ακροάσεις, ως τώρα έχω να πω ότι αγαπώ.
