We?ve seen the fierce discussions taking place about how Roadburn is becoming very ?traditional?, but Roadburn is a festival firmly rooted in tradition. Fear not, however ? we are continuing to work on additional acts from all fields, whether post-rock, dark psychedelica, stonerrock,doom, heavy psych or avant-metal, and we will always mix classic sounds with the cutting edge. If we?re adding a band to the line-up, it?s because either we feel they need to be heard, or that the recent performances or recordings by these bands deserve them a slot on the bill. There are no politics here, just the music that keeps us inspired and which moves us.
In the end, we always strive to bring you a well-balanced festival, and we?re in talks with dozens of bands, so the acts announced so far are only the tip of the iceberg. Rest assured that we have a lot of interesting tricks up our sleeve, all of which will come to light by the time that pre-sales begin later this year. (We don?t know the exact date that pre-sales will begin just yet, but the pre-sale date will be announced shortly). We?re anxiously awaiting to see what surprises are brought to us by Greg Anderson and Stephen O?Malley.
In the next two weeks, we will take some time off to work on the behind-the-scenes logistics of the festival, so don?t expect a lot of updates or announcements until the beginning of October.

Βσκ να κοψουν τις μλκιες και να κλεισουν αμεσα Unearthly Trance και τους Νορβηγους Altaar. Τελεια μπαντα για το Roadburn, δεν εχουν παιξει ποτε και τωρα τελευταια εχουν αρχισει να τραβανε ενα αλφα μεριδιο προσοχης. Δε θα μου φανει καθολου απιθανο αν τους δουμε στις επομενες ανακοινωσεις.

Candlemass is now scheduled to play on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the 013 venue, Tilburg, Holland. Starting at 15.45, Candlemass will perform a very special 2-hour set, which will include ?Epicus Doomicus Metallicus? in its entirety; featuring original vocalist Johan Längquist.
